A policy that involved looking at mistakes made around the world, and not copying them, would be useful too.

Hi there BMW fans I'm a new forum member from Timaru. Have two Z3's, both are 2000, 1 is 3.0L auto and the other is 2.0L manual. Purchased the Siena red 3.0L Z3 about 18 months ago, this was my first ever BMW. Just love the top down cruising. It low km's and does not need anything done to it, a bit boring in that regard. Purchased the Mora red 2.0L Z3 in January, its a high km's car and was in need of lots of TLC. Been having a blast working on it and sorting out all the odds and ends. Have set up INPA on the workshop computer to help with the diagnostics. Every thing works now and no error codes. Currently finding parts for the suspension and steering refresh. This car is my daily drive. Cheers Muzz

Wing painted & mounted in time for the rally next weekend. Still need to put new M3 badges on, polish & CQuartz. Went with half-painted leaving the bare carbon underneath. 1 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr 5 by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Oh god. The propaganda is strong in NZ huh. I tell locals that the average house price in NZ is over $800K and show them a few pictures. They wonder why we stay there and why someone would pay that much money for a sh*t house. Then I remind them they can either vote for Clinton or Trump and they ask where to sign up.

Just sent out a bunch of stickers now. I got this under control guys.

Hey Everyone. Sorry for being so slack with the stickers. It looks like there is quite a bit of demand for them. Ever since we changed to the new forum software I never updated the shop so you can order stickers online. I will look at sorting this out and will also include t-shirts and caps which we still have a bit of stock of. In the meantime please order stickers over email like so: Stickers are $8 each including postage. You can choose from white or silver. If you would like to order please email your order to [email protected] and transfer the money to our bank account as follows. Bimmersport Ltd, Westpac Albany: 03 1322 0085857 000 I will post the stickers as soon as the money is in the bank Once again sorry for my slackness.I promise to get the online ordering up and running again really soon. Also like josh said, please don't reproduce copies of the stickers, that's not cool, or legal.

yeah i don't see 7 or 6 either for that matter. tidy sure, but tidy in base spec and with 4 doors is not particularly sort after. You can buy manual 325i for 7, SEs and motorsports too. I think 4, if you get it, take the money and run.

It is most likely we will come back to NZ in a few years. Only because the family is all there and we don't have a green card. Wellington or just North over the hill will be our choice. No way will we return to Auckland. I will become a bloody farm hand before I go back there.

That bodykit is vile. I'd also be interested to know how many minutes that RB20 gearbox lasts behind that engine.

Not a rant, just puzzled/confused/discombobulated... I've just seen a used E30 Mtech kit - just the kit, no car - being offered on TM for $3k. E30 prices have gone a bit silly lately, but this seems a step too far. To me.

I really don't like it. Maybe it's the colour?

Any protection you have as a limited liability company in NZ will probably not apply if you get taken to court in the US, you should probably get a US lawyer to have a look at the contract and advise you.

I've got the arms and sump kit, so shouldn't be too far away from getting it near the car, once I get my hands on a gearbox Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

f**king hit a hare coming back from HB over easter. Hadn't updated my pest threat assessment since owning a van; won't make that mistake again. Took it on the left between fog light and number plate I think, cracked the bumper out from the center and off to the left just along the bottom, which then pushed back and smashed a side off the panel the goes under the rad and trans cooler (what does that do anyway?). The air duct for the brakes also pushed back, damaged the plastic bit it sockets into behind that, and ripped the top mount of same bit (goes right around under the guard). Fog light also had it's little clip bit broken. f**king rabbits are pests alright... Anyway, plastic welded up the guard, will plastic weld up the bumper, do something about the fog light; and add a splitter and partial engine undertray just in case old peter cottontail has any suicidal friends. Think I'll do the pair and put a diffuser on as well, always try to turn every fix-up job into an improvement...

It was also interesting that with the pod filter gone it didn't feel as quick but appears to still be the same as it was with the pod. The noise must help trick your senses into thinking it's faster... It will be interesting to see how it goes on the second dyno tune...

^ agreed. We seriously need a one child policy and to shut down immigration entirely for a few generations. **I am not anti-immigrants nor anti-children, I'm anti-population increase.

and all your Auckland housing problems are now causing huge issues down here in Wellington. Houses selling for hundreds of thousands over RV, and too many buyers going in unconditional (3/4 of buyers atm!). We've decided to put off our house hunting until the market crashes.

We like Wanganui... At the moment a teenage daughter in the last couple of years of high school mean we're staying put so as not to disrupt her education. What we'll do after that remains to be seen!

I'd sell up and get rich? one can dream. Plenty of jobs here, just gotta pick the right industry from the get go, and also realise that with a lower cost of living $50-70k isn't a terrible wage.

E30 Is running again after swapping engines with a parts car i picked up, i had to swap exhausts with the donor car as i decided swapping exhaust manifolds would land me with too many broken studs. Louder than an 80s DTM car right now, 2.5" straight through with a single 12" coby in the middle and a 12" long muffler with a 3.5" dump outlet. Fingers crossed a scarles silencer shuts it up enough for street duties. WoF booked in sat morning, then a weekend road trip.

Sadly after sixteen years ownership Brenda (my wife) has to reluctantly sell her lovely 318i (Lil Blu) due only to the fact that her mother has to now use a walker which will not fit in the car. We will have to replace it with a Station Wagon or similar, but it will have to be BMW. Lil Blu has been maintained with a lot of enthusiasm and no expense spared. 1990 E30 318i automatic, four door sedan, Atlantis Blue. Very original (still has the auto charge torch). 115000 kilometres Kept garaged Service history 15” X spoke wheels (“basket weaves” is not what they are called) Pirelli P6000 tyres Rego due October 2016 New WOF on 18/3/2016 Maintained by Jerry Claytons and Bavarian Motors Genuine BMW battery New cambelt, brakes, valves, lifters, guides etc at 107000 ks Has excellent upholstery (no rips or worn spots). Usual cracks on dash top. Not sure of worth but thought we would start off around $7000.00 and look for feed back (up or down) from members. We would like it to go to somebody who would also look after it, so we are putting it here on the board first. Car is in Auckland so please reply to forum.

Very safe these days. Unless your a gang member on the East side. So much more livable than NZ cities. And far cheaper.

Exhaust modified to avoid steering linkage. Swapped in a 3.73 med case rear end & axles. Poly diff bush. New subframe bushings. First test drive: Brakes are great w/ new booster - a bit firmer but lovely Clutch feels awesome Goes like a banshee One or two issues, primarily mysterious driveline vibration. Has to be driveshaft related based on a bit of trial and error.

Instagram is coming to an end. Implementing the same BS "We control your content" that Facebook has. Will have to find another great place to look at car pictures whilst taking a sh*t now. I have never seen so many cars with damage as I have in DC. Nearly every car has hammered bumpers front and rear. I have watched how it happens. Everyone just uses the cars in front and behind to feel their way into car parks. It is worse than you think too. I have seen some near new cars with a ton of damage. Friends of ours said to never buy anything nice whilst living in DC. Prob just get some 2002-2005 E46 330i that I won't care about. Dime a dozen here.

Another long week-end and more crap driving on the roads. It seems Easter is the holiday that every sh*t box Mobile Home / ute / 4x4 decides to tow a clapped out trailer / boat / horse box up some of the biggest hills in the country. If your piece of crap can't manage the speed limit on a flat, straight highway then it shouldn't be on the road full stop.

Standing on my deck watching a herc turn finals over my paddocks into the sunset, and hearing the dull roar of reverse thrust as it touches down. I love living within the OH circuit.
