A lot of us just DIY this sort of stuff or get the trusted regulars to do the work. the e46 m3 is an old car, the true first gen trained mechanics have left the dealerships a long time a go. Jerry Clayton is now owned by Sime Darby .. when this happened everyone walked out the door who was a true BMW mechanic. From memory only two of the older guys stayed on but where quite jaded when dealing with them ... they were there to guide the young mix brand mechanics ... this is when things started to slip. I havent gone back in 5 years so things may have changed .. but I would say for the newer cars, not the older vehicles such as the M3. Indy specialist shops are where its at for this sort of work.

you're absolutely right, Kelvin. Only, it's like his first real girlfriend. He's decided he wants to marry her. He had sought this unicorn for years... his mother even liked her! Only, then he found out she wasn't the virgin they said she was. He knows she can be 'made good as new by a plastic surgeon. But, it's a deal breaker for him, as to his mind, he was marrying 'the one'; to his mind, 'the one' had to be an authentic virgin.

Found water on top of the relays behind the fuses under the passenger side dash. Pulled them, dried them, and the car started!!! For 5 minutes... Possibly the heater matrix leaking causing the problem. Possibly something else. New heater matrix on order. It'll be sorted.

Those projector light things are now a genuine accessory/option on new Mercs. One of the guys high up at Merc NZ asked what i think of them, he was deeply disappointed when i told him they are tacky and look like some cheap chinese sh*t off ebay that people with no taste stick on their car. lolololol

All those M3 bits along with getting the body kit painted must have been a ton of wasted money, which obviously will not add to the car's value. So stupid...
