2 pointshold on Olaf, i said its worth (9k less blah blah) 6-6.5k. Its worth 9k if it had the msport kit along with some nice wheels like style 22, 24, 32, 39 the beige interior is usually not my thing but when its in as good condition as this, you cant really say it looks bad!

2 pointsCar had the sony radio from factory, but it was faulty. Spent way to long trying to fix it / deciding what radio to replace it with. Tried finding another sony but they seem to have a reputation for being flaky so didn't want to spend much on one. Didn't want a replacement that didn't suit the car, experimented with some old alpine units from early 90's toyota / honda some of them are nice, the honda one was the better option had front rca's and 25x4 internal amp but it didn't look as good (I would have removed the honda logo of course) , can't remember exactly but getting them to work properly was going to more trouble than it was worth, change lcd lighting from green to red, only front channels had rca out to put in the sony amp, still needed to wire in aux, had the factory blaupunkt booster amp in the boot but that meant hacking apart the factory harness which I didn't want to do incase I come across a working sony one day. Anyway ended up getting this from overseas, clarion fz102e, usb, red back lighting, aux no bluetooth unfortunately but I might change that one day. No battery in car atm so photo from google. Tried to leave the wiring as factory as possible. As the factory sony only has RCA outs into the factory amp the 12v power in the radio harness was a bit too small to properly support the internal amp on the clarion. There is an unused ACC 12v space in the fuse box but some google images of melted fuse box's scared me right of pulling mine apart and modifying it so I could use that. So I did the normal thing and ran a separate battery wire with inline fuse. Pushed wire through factory grommet behind glovebox Black conduit and inline fuse running with the rest of he cable along the firewall. If you can't see it I am happy. Didn't want to modify radio harness so If I came across a factory sony I could directly plug it back in. This meant instead of cutting wires and soldering I made my own harness that plugs directly into the factory 9 pin molex connector.

1 pointI thought it was about time I started a project thread to document what I have already done and what I plan to do to my E30. Hopefully it'll give me a little motivation to get thru the list of items that require attention. When I brought it 6 months ago it was running a little rough. After a quick trip to the Park Road E30 Performance Centre, the problem was quickly resolved. The distributor cap had a huge crack so that was promptly replaced and now runs like a dream. Items that no longer require attention: Oil change, Fitted a SA spec boot lining and half a tool kit , Replaced the sump that had a hairline crack, Removed the superlow springs in the rear that were not captive and replaced them with some lows, Fitted E36 window switches, Items that require attention: Insert items listed on back of Heineken box here... Here are some photos on the day I aquired the car. Enjoy

1 pointNice, looks like the video editing took longer than actually planning and pulling the stunt off

1 pointI was bidding on one almost a year ago, good condition but high kms, just over 200k. Montreal Blue, same interior and wheels as this actually. It ended up going for $5800. So I think for low kms and better condition it would be at least $6-6500 upwards.

1 pointit'a beauty, clearly cherished and well cared for. how many owners, one? I reckon it'd have to be at least six k all day long, seven for the right buyer, and if you had a bidding war eight.

1 pointI would think a nice msport e36 328i wagon would be worth about $9000 so working backwards, minus $500 bodykit, $500 paint, $1000 wheels, $500 black msport interior = $6000-6500?

1 point161785kms. Adaptor cables fitted along with the new IBS cable; battery fully recharged and tested okay, vehicle monitored for 6 hrs okay. Result. I’m driving it today. Need to get an alignment as I hit a pothole on SH1 south of Picton. Vacuum pump under investigation.

1 pointAre you touching the glass of the bulbs when you are putting them in? What type of bulbs are you using?

1 pointDid some late night wrenching after my E36 failed WoF (front outter ball-joints loose). Removed Control Arms to replace the ball-joints. Got carried away and: Removed rear caliper and discs, cleaned up hubs and dust covers. I picked up some E46 328i rear calipers and discs to replcace them with as they're a slight upgrade on the E36 rear end. Will be on the hunt for 330i front brakes next. Pulled old shocks (labelled as 318is, in a 6cyl, may have contributed to soft rear end) before I upgrade the suspension front and back. Also have some new rear side window seals to replace the cracked and hardened ones on there atm.

1 pointKeep searching...or find the ideal colour / option combination and have it converted to manual? I believe it's worth it in most cases as finding manual transmission E46's aren't in abundance.

1 pointTook the girlfriend to Kaikoura for a day trip. Also gave the wee red best a wash both before and after . Had an attempt at drifting on tarmac at the drift track, however being precious about breaking the car and open diff life resulted in not too much sideways action but still good fun! Photos to come from more recent updates too!
