I brought this car over from the UK personnally, to use as a tow unit for my racecar with enough room for all my race gear, which it did admirably for many years and over 50,000 miles in my posession. Only looking to sell as it's not being used now I have a company car and the wife has a smaller car for her daily. Looking for $7,000 for a Bimmersporter, hoping to save the pain of the tyre kickers off of TradeMe More photos to come once I have chance to take some better ones.

Project nearly there but now petered out, '73 02 which had all the body done which I bought and converted to race. Full cert roll cage and logbook, race seats and belts- now need replacing not having been used, thats how long!!, std M10 motor recon and unused. twin DCOe 48's choked down for the std engine, mangoletsi twin carb setup, Carter high volume low pressure paddle fuel pump. Front brakes upgraded to larger Volvo 240 recon callipers, larger vent. rotors, new yellowstuff pads, std 4 sp gearbox now but includes m20 5 sp close ratio , spare 4sp to convert the m20 one to m10 fitting by casing change, another o/d 5 sp gearbox, assorted parts but dont ask me for any, they only go with the car, body rust free, rear mounted battery, new race tyres, shortened bilstein inserts and adjustable top plates , paint work black with green flecks, much green powdercoating underneath, $19,991 or near offers. Loosing garage and enthusiasm but still racing my Mk 1 Golf GTI for another year. Paul Chisholm 0274501711 [email protected]

Nearly finished the mechanical refurb and conversion to right hand drive. Next it will be rotisserie time and several months scrapeing and sanding!

I go away and come back and relearn it all every 5 years or so, stops it getting out of control chasing the latest and greatest and keeps it interesting. Now is a good time to relearn it all with the new gear being released, with a solid jump in performance Vs the last 5 years of incremental mediocrity.

Some onboard if anyone is interested, havent got the gopro set up right, like alot of things it was untested prior to the first stage. Still plenty to learn with the driving too, have the autocross season coming up, along with some rally sprints/hill climbs that'll give me much needed seat time.

Yes I'm a mad man. Posting a general discussion thread about a BMW recall, in a general discussion board, on a BMW orientated forum ? Dealer isn't open at 8pm...

BMW owner starts forum thread rather than telephoning local service department. ?

Little treat for the 46 arrived today; a set of pretty mint and rare Piano Black interior trim - always wanted a set but never seen it for sale before until a little good fortune on Sunday. Should look a lot nicer than the carbon cube I have. Never realised Piano black had a subtle metallic in it - very nice. Hope to get it in before this Sundays AKL meet up.

Yusss.... those are the ones. Never picked them up as they are listed in a kind of strange place. I already bought some other wheels and have them on the car, but I still have some interest in the Style 216 so I will contact the seller and see if I can work a deal. Thanks for the heads up Cheers...

Bumper and under trays back on, number plate on temporarily, test drive around the block, airbag light on, bugger ! Will have to check code and clear so I can sort that, hopefully just from having so many airbag parts disconnected over the last few weeks. Certainly goes better now than when I collected it, trans is much happier, a LOT less smoke! New front suspension arms ordered, that should sort the shudder under brakes. Will take it for a WOF on Friday / Saturday and get a new to do list! Photo in the dark shows the bumper at its best...
