My dad and brother in Sa are almost complete with thier 2-3 year project...well...soon😎 Had a 3.4 Ford V6 in... Now a cobra fully rebuilt cammed 289 stroked +-300cc engine...dynoed 270 kw...revs up like a bike.. had a 3sp auto in the cobra so they fitted a 5 spd manual box in. Fully stripped out....so maybe +-8-900 kgs. Massive diff at rear with 275s 15s to be added Cut and fabricated the whole tunnel and relocating basically every freakin thing..😂😂 They plan to move down here to Nz in a year or so and bring that with.

Turns out I was very keen 😀 Install was very easy after a quick Google. New stuff looks way better than the tired and worn original factory bits. And being proper bmw parts was guaranteed to fit 🤣. Shout out to @Matt for hooking me up and providing install advice too. Alcantara goodness. Bonus pic of existing fauxcantara mirror Have been driving round with the BMWP pieces fitted for a week or so and it's definitely a much nicer place to be. Only thing is the BMWP shift knob is way, way too small for my hand. Knew this going in but thought I'd give it a try for a bit. So will be looking to swap (or buy) for a different gear knob, keen on a zhp one if anyone has one. Or a factory Msport that isn't worn. Also have another interior piece to go in, assuming I can make it work 😅. Once I tidy up the idrive plastic(probably scratch off the soft touch stuff that's peeled away) interior will be looking really good and refreshed except for the steering wheel. Will be doing something about that! Hopefully will get engine mounts and sump gasket done in the next few weeks. All parts still sitting here. Just waiting on lift space.

Ah yes the one with the LTW stickers. A replica of an inferior model.. I never understood that. Brent has a US engine you could swap in to make it closer to a real LTW.

It doesn't feel like a boost leak, at a certain point it just decides everything is fine and starts pulling like a train, I have also tried to keep an eye on the boost gauge when it happens and it will start building boost then it just holds the revs / boost for a few seconds, then away it goes, a serious boost leak would be evident all the time. One of the possibilities is a fault in the wastgate actuator or its plumbing but I will need a bit of time up my sleeve before I tackle removing the turbo.

Your car will be awesome once the M42 is in there. Will perform as good, if not better than a 325i. I have an early E36 non EWS DME if you need one. Also, have a copied Turner/Mark D chip to suit too.

The insane Christmas rush that happens every year without fail. Everyone wants their car's done yesterday and there's only so much one can accommodate. Also road-works in dome valley at all hours of the night. lol

We have a shipment on that. and don't know the status of the item yet. This is not helping what is an otherwise meh year at work, we could potentially lose 10% of of our revenue on this. (insurance only covers our costs, in this case, and not lost profit)
