Your window regulators and controllers haven't gone yet. It's one of those jobs that will tip you over the edge. It will wait until you are comfortable again. Just like the battery. Rubbing it's hands together snickering.

I spent a few weeks over Xmas exploring some of the lesser traveled roads of the South Island with fellow Biimmer enthusiast Boytie. Had a grand old time saw some bits of NZ that most don't and got to test our skills and abilities on some interesting roads and passes. My bike is a 2012 BMW F800GS and Boytie rode his old F650GS. The F650 had a couple of issues but none that stopped us for too long. The 800 was a model of reliability and handled the dirt very well.

Hi there. Christchurch based, West Melton. First post, member for some time when I had a 2007 335 Coupe but never posted and moved it on as I'm a liitle less able to climb in and out of them as I used when "I wore a younger man's clothes"!! Moving on a few years and I'm back where I belong. 2001 740i in Titan Silver with black leather. Had a 2001 in Anthracite with grey Nappa leather back in Aus but sold it when we retired over here just over 7 years ago. Regretted the sale ever since. Fast forward to today when I picked this up. Came down from the North Island. One owner, 88k on the clock and M pars factory supplied. All original paperwork with vehicle from Shelley BMW in Wellington, $160k new!! Absolutely beautiful with only a few niggly things to fix. Cheers Archie

Hi all, I owned a showroom modified Datsun 240z 25 years ago, and never got over selling it. Then I found a 2 seater, straight 6, modernish coupe. The Z4 E86. I love this car. 6 weeks into ownership I've installed Ray's Homura 2x7 19" wheels, on 235/35 fronts and 265/30 rears and did the sound generator mod.

I think it's just BMW NZ that tries to upsell the value of NZ New, for obvious reasons. Once the warranty and service plan is up, the ownership experience is no different to any other BMW.

Haha - I've seen this car - the dealer selling it bought my wife's old Mazda Axela off us (to on sell for a $1000 markup). Its pretty rough but the guy said 'it gets the ladies' 🤣

Yeah..... That crap must owe them at least $5K after shipping and Tax. Wish they would stop bring sh*t like this in. First serious crash because some kid had a head on when trying to pass in his LHD car and the rules will change for us all.

Welcome back. Nice looking car. If you are into going for Sunday cruises with other BMW's keep an eye on the Christchurch group in the meetings forum. There is a regular monthly run. Check out the next one here.

So, what do we think team, a week before it suffers another issue? 😂 Now that its currently working, is it time to flick it off and pretend it never happened, or keep it as the devil you know?

Long time no update, all the way on page 2! Had some issues with steering knuckles, got it sorted and ordered some from UK, assembled with new bearings etc Steering link swapped over to a barina type and Z3 rack installed Have some new nuts coming for ball joints and tie rods, once they arrive will bolt in the suspension and motor and box will go in. Have a m50 manifold and tune to install on motor, will keep the ITBs for a rainy day as such ....more updates soon

I rate the Autoglym stuff. Makes the tyres black/clean vs oily/wet. Does require more regular applications.
