Hey all, I'm new to the forums and I was wondering if anyone in the north island would happen to have a passenger side rear door and a pair of rear struts they would part with? cheers. I'm 18 and have just started my apprenticeship and buying tools so I'm not too into the buying brand new parts just yet, the story behind my E28 is it is my first car, my dad and I (both super into classic BMW's) had done a tune up on the engine. Plugs, new distributor cap, valve clearances, timing etc. after that I had her for a few months and she got run into by a driver who was under the influence and driving an illegal car, I was doing a pre trade course and managed to get my car in towards the end of the course, I cut the dented section out, (left rear guard) and made up my own piece to replace it which I then welded in, I'm currently after the parts so I can put my old girl back on the road, cheers.

I guess I shouldn’t expect better from a main dealer but failed warrant on wipers that were <1 year old and perfectly functional so they could sell me a new pair 🙄

I don't think the dealer is the one with his head up his ass !!! He is doing what he wants to do and you all are telling him he is a cnut for wanting to sell a car that way he prefers. If you are upset about that go cry somewhere that you are not annoying reasonable people. And I say this with the greatest possible respect Cheers...

Hi. Looking to find a rear drivers side door actuator for my E91. Its goes down (locks) but makes a horrible noise when trying to unlock. The front passenger door has started making a noise like its about to fail soon too... I'm strapped for cash at the moment so was wondering if anyone knew if those found on aliexpress are any good, and if they are the one's I want? https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32867959346.html?_randl_currency=NZD&_randl_shipto=NZ&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=9444695485&albag=99457316601&trgt=296904914040&crea=en32867959346&netw=u&device=m&albpg=296904914040&albpd=en32867959346&gclid=Cj0KCQiAj9iBBhCJARIsAE9qRtAFw0-xcUpFLiB8pNuz012t9tvsizeeOpnLNT11jiVsFb-fvfMUV7IaAmeMEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Ah okay, thanks for that. There must be something in the AC waters, Simon van Velthoven from Emirates Team NZ has got a black 635csi on a nice set of BBS alloys. Will have to snap a pic next time it's at the base.

I sold it to Graham Fleury (an ex- Oracle America's cup sailor) in 2002 because I wanted to get a M635csi. Graham owned it for around 8-10 years, it was then purchased by a guy living in Mt Eden. He sold it 5-6 years ago to a Bimmersporter who discussed it here- before flipping it. Not sure who owns it now - but I know people who know the owner. I understand it lives somewhere north of Auckland, and is spotted at Caffeine and classics regularly.

So true. They were very popular in NZ in blue. They were an extremely huge seller for BMW ( the 6 series) - even in NZ despite the $135,000 asking price. Sadly, many have been written off due to rust today - even the NZ cars. They were my favourite car in the 80's -additionally inspired by the JPS 635csi's we saw racing. When I was ready to get one - in 99/00 the best I could buy was also an example in Burgundy metallic- but mine was a ex uk Highline. Wasnt my first choice in colour but looked great with the cream leather.

Hi Noah, and welcome to Bimmersport. That’s a very cool project you’ve got there, shame about the driver that hit you. I’ve moved your post into the Want To Buy section as it’s more likely to be spotted in here.

Not sure but as a Newb, most 635csi's seem to be silver or light blue so Burgundy is rarer, and with the contrast cream interior, feels quite era appropriate for the style of car TBH. Could be a factor, or maybe the rust isn't as bad as thought - panel and paint certainly seems OK in pics.

From what I researched they're 18x8J +45 f and 18x9J +50 r. Run around us$2400 a set (rims only). For this size rim the retailer is recommending 225/40 f and 255/30r which is what I am running. They weigh just under 8kg.
