They're on my 535i, ZR19 98Y XL, 280 A A. When I got the car it had brand new Triangle TH201s on it which are the cheapest tyre I have ever seen in that size, and despite being a little small for their size they actually did a darn good job. Wet/dry traction was reasonable and we got 25-30k out of them. Will be interesting to see how the Laufenns go. I know Qube had some success on their older tyre models. As I mentioned before the LK03 is a dead ringer for the old Hankook S1 Evo which was a well regarded mid range tyre. Before you go thinking I am a tyre scrooge, my other car has Michelin PS4S in 295/35/20 on the back Hankook S1 Evo: LK03:

Cleaned the whale inside and out to get it ready for sale. Removed the fake M badge from the back and replaced the front roundel. Pity the rear hasnt arrived yet. Im SUPER impressed with Carpro Ech2o as a waterless wash. I cleaned the car yesterday normally, because its was covered in bird poo and bug splatters, and then today went over it with Ech2o and damn it shines well considering its not waxed. I used to wash the TVR with it because TVRs are hygroscopic and was impressed, but the BMW paint really pops.

Installed, works flawlessly, all the plastics etc are as good as OEM. Interesting its not a ripoff of the OEM part, theyve designed it from scratch... cant really complain at all.

Certifier was ok with me welding the mounts so they are finished now, happy with how they turned out. Now I can get to the bottom of the engine again I'm plotting out where the oil returns are to the sump so I can model them into the new dry sump pan.

@KwS yeah, Ech2o was a game changer for me - so easy, and leaves a decent amount of waxy goodness as well. Works as a clay lube too - if you're into that. Pretty much converted me to the hole CarPro range which is consistently excellent.

Been there done (doing) that with the N57 (in my 335d). Want a V8 in a (relatively modern) BMW touring while I still can - without dumping 200k into an Alpina B5

Is your 540i an msport? I might know a person that knows a person with an e39 M5 who could be tempted to sell theres for the right amount.

I never find myself using iDrive for navigation. Easier to use my phone than stuff around using a scroll wheel to type an address into outdated mapping software (because I didn't pay for the updates), that is also not connected to the internet to take traffic and road closures ect into account. And there's the excellent voice control on Android. "Hey google, navigate me to the nearest Countdown", and it'll even tell me if the Countdown is closing soon or closed... iDrive can't touch that. And of course I can't get the latest and greatest iDrive software and features from BMW without buying a whole new car, meanwhile Google Maps is up to date even if I had a 5 year old shitty Android phone. Occasionally I just use it to have the map visible as it's handy to have a quick reference on where I am. I do have a Chinese Android Auto integration kit I bought months ago but the installation looks like such a pain I have yet to bother, not sure I want to take the dash apart. Using the phone on an air-vent magnet mount works well enough...

Suspension upgrade Before the engine went bang I had just pulled the trigger on some Bilstein Touring shocks and Eibach Prokit springs from Demon Tweaks. I already had rear sachs shocks I purchased from @Eagle which were for the motorsport setup so went with the B4's which from the looks of realOEM are the factory motorsport package shocks. New bits Lemforder front shock mounts Bump stops and dust covers Bilstein B4 front shocks #BLS22-139948, BLS22-139931 Eibach Prokit springs #EIBE2067-140 Meyle HD rear shock mounts Sachs rear shocks #556 882 I got a shop to do the spring compressor part but i DIY'd the rest to try save on labour (the rear is pretty labour intensive) the rear shocks were completely dead. rear spring height comparison bit of trim removal Found 1 random Monroe up the front. New fronts After a few KM's they are settling in. So far I'm really impressed with the quality of the ride. Comfort vs handling I think it's a great combo for the daily driver.

Hi all My E39 has been written off by a minor in a stolen Nissan Safari. Vero has offered me the wreck for $1,500, which I actually thought was quite steep. Anyway I just thought I'd see if anyone from the Bimmersport community wants it first? Let me know by this Sunday 21 March via PM. The only panels not damaged by the hit are the front bumper, LR door, LR quarter and boot. The RR wheel has been toed in too, so there's something bent back there. The M60B44 had not had its timing chains done and was idling rough when cold due to a suspected faulty vanos unit or two. But once warmed up it hummed along nicely. The gearbox was a little whiney when warm. It moved through the forward gears well but would be slow to engage reverse. Had the seat twist issue. Can't think of any other issues. No leaks. Just wof-ed a month prior to the hit. The wreck will need to be collected from Ngauranga. Thread on the vehicle:
