My Clubsport is up for sale. I am the 3rd owner, the first being BMW for 10,000km, then a regular long distance commuter for 290,000km, car currently sitting at almost 310,000km Much work has been completed on this very rare car to lift it back up... The SMG is all good following a slave cylinder refurb, and spares include a complete gearbox with all hydraulic equipment and computer (unknown condition but at least all the parts are there for refurb as required). Many trim items have been changed / renewed including seats, doorcards, steering wheel, gear shift. A later radio/CD with a Bluetooth dongle wired into AUX input. A new road wheel is on due to an unrepairable crack in old one. Tyres / brakes / suspension - good. Plenty of engine work of maintenance items and oil gaskets. The OFHG was leaking badly upon purchase... Alternator voltage regulator / brushes replaced, brushes finally gave up after 305km... Cooling system has new water pump, thermostat, expansion tank (the original tank was still going strong...), hoses. CCV system has some new hoses / pipes. DISA valve is new G.A.S. New engine / transmission mounts. New oils / fluids / filters from radiator to diff. AC all good. Headlights / taillights / indicators refurbed or replaced. The paint is OK, with stone chips on front and a few little indiscretions here and there. Best to contact me directly 027 278 2940 for further discussion. $12,000 firm.

Thats stunning, and well worth the asking price. Wouldnt even know it was over 300,000km by the photos.

If they're claiming that coupe has an "average interior" with mismatched seats, trashed driver seat, trashed mismatched center console, mismatched door cards and dash, faded rear seat and faded parcel tray, I reckon they would be pretty easy to please Could probably fold their hand around a dog turd and convince them it's a taco What a mess.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3290841497?bof=8JeSyhFD Kickass car. Don't see many E36 wagons around, especially not with the bigger motor. Any guesses on what it will sell for?

It's a lottery, but you can get a hint from the replies.

Yes to subframe, probably not entirely necessary (?) but gives you more room to remove stuff. And consider whether you're going to remove the steering pump first, if you do you can drop the rack, reservoir and pump and leave it all together under the car.

white one looks cheap considering the kms but the japanese looking aftermarket headunit is a bit meh for me blue one looks quite nice but a bit expensive at 11k silver one pretty good for 9k with 4 new michelin tyres, yes aftermarket headunit but looks like a decent one thats done in NZ dark grey one also not bad looking, lightly more expensive and higher kms than the silver one and more expensive. I think with these models, there are plenty to choose from so just find one you like the colour/option of and go ahead if its in good condition. There is a 2011 black face lift one for sale for 9k but its done high kms around 160k, pretty nice being facelift if you dont mind the kms. been for sale forever maybe could negotiate down to 8k and have 1-2k for servicing/maintenance.

.No just a mix of time, sugar soap, elbow grease, and the odd stronger "solvent" as required... Thanks,

I think runflats are factory original fit. You can change to 'normal' tyres, but you'll probably find you don't have a spare wheel.

Interesting thread gents. It's an ultimate Q/car in my book. This B10 finally arrived up my drive 30/09/21, 2years until the dealer finally cut his losses & let it go, seeing sense an agreeing to a price starting with a 2... since imported 12/12/18 it's travelled '5' kms in total. Full service history, Alpina wallet, handbook etc. Stats below that might be of interest or not: ENGINE/GEARBOX The B10 V8 is based on the BMW 540i, which has a 286 bhp, 4.4 litre V8 engine. As the BMW V8 engine has Nicasil (later Alusil) coated bores, the block can’t just be over-bored, a whole new block needs to be cast for Alpina by BMW with the displacement increased to 4.6 litre. Alpina have also made other changes to the engine such as a new crankshaft, more aggressive camshafts, hand-fettled ports, lighter higher-compression Mahle pistons and reprogrammed the Motronic system. The result is 340 bhp (254kw) and 470 Nm of torque at 3800 rpm, 100 rpm lower than standard. From 1999 onwards the engine produces 347 bhp (probably more if you look at the much improved performance figures) and a torque of 480 Nm. The B10 V8 has a ZF 5-speed automatic gearbox with the steering wheel mounted Switch-Tronic system as standard. SUSPENSION/BRAKES/WHEELS The B10 V8 has twin-tube gas pressure shock absorbers at both front and rear. It also has new anti-roll bars. The brake discs are ventilated all around and have floating calipers. The Alpina alloys are 18″ with 235/40 tires at front and 265/35 at rear. Michelin tires of course. Optionally available were 19″ wheels.

Video the cops posted as well just shows some resentment for it being a modified car, they acted as if just making an M3 wagon is some dodgy criminal act in itself. These cops were so gleeful about sending a message to car enthusiasts that they didn't do their homework and crushed a car they shouldn't have. Really a sad waste of a nice car. I'd hope they tracked down the real thieves behind the apparently stolen cars but funnily enough they didn't seem to comment on that. They turned comments off on the video so nobody can post the real story there...

Is it just me or does anyone else not like Carwow videos? All they seem to do is drag races. Zero care for drag racing.
