Replaced the vanos seals for good measure, the old ones certainly were loose in the bores like some. Head and top valve cover clean as you'd would expect from a car like this.

Left hook Right cross I know it's not 'correct' but that gray one is sex on wheels...

    I'm thinking about it 🤣

I doubt it. I did a M52 swap into an E36 compact. It cost me around 500-600 because I found a wrecked donor cheap and did all the work myself. The car was already manual, etc with little needing doing. If you need a manual setup budget 3k+, clutch 1.5k, M52 500-1000 depending. Replace buggered hoses and gaskets, ECU remap, freshen gearbox linkages, gilbo, radiator, brakes and swaybar upgrade etc. That's without labour which is possibly the most expensive part?

Replicas. Genuines will have stamps on the outer face like this edit: google searched the number https://www.ebay.com/p/10030152268 the MPN makes it seem genuine but unless it has the stamps on the front BBS and CH followed by 3 numbers I would say they are replicas,

Looks like reps to my eye. Can't see BBS stamped anywhere on those photos either.

That one certainly looks good, although not keen on those wheels. I'm always suspicious of low Km Japanese(?) imports, but this one does indeed look like genuine kms - those Ivory seats still look very sharp.

Removal of any “emissions system” covers it I believe.

Had these 'smoked' LED indicators sitting around for months, finally decided to try them on. I like'em.

@E30 325i Rag-Top please tell me they've given you an iX to use 😂

Mostly comes down to being old, its 1960-1970's tech and 40 year old car. Parts harder to get\more expensive than e28 stuff. Manuals drive ok but 3 speed autos haven't aged well. Engines more problematic than the later M30's.

I know what i've seen, and it's not all rosy. Buyer beware and all that.

Made a dent in the list. Only issue was the hack who fitted the rubbish CTE FCAB's and cross threaded the RH threads while he was at it. Luckily the were repairable. FSU decided to start acting up so i had to replace that with a good spare i had. '02 build so may of been original. New genuine lower coupling on the way and will replace the upper as there is some minor play there also. Also fitted the 2x bottom rear window trims @hqstu gave me. Expensive parts for a little improvement.

I agree that it will get snapped up quickly. Apart from being auto, probably one of the nicest spec'd ones around in decent original condition. Looks very good!

Yes, Dave Tunlley. They did the most accurate 4 wheel alignment before and after that I’ve seen. Bernard and the boys do a great job. I think between BMW Car Club and bimmpersport we’ve cornered the silver e46 M3 in Welly. Mine on 18s another on 19s and a CSL 😀

I know its been a while but I've started buying a ton of parts from RockAuto and actually found out that they have a lot of fluid options at good prices, and they will ship it! https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/bmw,2008,335i,3.0l+l6+turbocharged,1441663,transmission-automatic,transmission+fluid,11387 Don't forget you can always find a 5% off code somewhere.

Facelift is definitely the way to go (ZF 8 speed vs a 6 speed in the PFL). How short would your round town journeys be? Might start to run into difficulties with never getting up to temp/carbon build up and the economy isn't going to be amazing either. The diesels are nicer to drive due to the torque though. My N57-engined car (same as 40d) takes 13-18km to get to temp (mix of round town and motorway running)

Ace. I'd start at $35k if it were mine. It's 3.0, probably important for people that can't recognise them. Is that a factory rear wing (i.e. installed before driving off the lot)? If so, that's an uber option! It's NZ registration is a mess... says it's a 3.2 when it's a 3.0, and it's a Coupe and Saloon... nice one BMW. 🙄 Lots of registration changes in 2017 which seem odd, 14 private owners? Original interior was not as it sits now, originally came with cloth/amaretta seats and wood trim so a complete swap. Also looks like the rear parcel tray has been redone so hopefully the headliner also. It's a great looking car, hope it gets lots of interest, GLWS!
