2 pointsPicked up the new sensible car / wifes daily - 2014 F31 320d MSport in Alpinweiss III. I've always thought BMW do the best looking wagons, so stoked to have one in the fleet in a great looking, low maintenance colour. Fresh import 76km and in absolutely fantastic condition - I don't know how the Japanese manage to keep their cars in such amazing shape?! Early days, but really loving the look and the M Sport interior. Powertrain is plenty in the real world, definitely sounds like a diesel at idle but meh - seems pretty damn efficient! 'Modern' cars are bloody nice with all the fruit for sure. Comfort access / electric tailgate etc. Came on new staggered 19" BMW replica wheels of some sort (anyone know what style?) and some cheapo tyres, but the fitment is excellent and it looks good - may upgrade the tyres in due course but they are brand new and already overspent a little on the car. Plans for it so far (most parts en-route) are: Euro Plate Black Kidneys Black Mirror Caps Paint or wrap the M Performance style front splitter black (AKA sacrificial bumper) Floor mats (didn't come with any) Tints(?) wanting the black and white look and seems to have very light factory tints - look dark in the shade but very light in daylight Wireless Carplay Bimmercode to do all the custom options / disclaimer deletes etc Looking forward to doing some road trips in this!

2 pointsHi I use to have an old log in years ago to bimmersport. I have just acquired this car and I recall that a member on here owned it the number plate just rings a bell. It has the old euro plate frame Olly organised back in the day as well. Does anyone recognize it?

2 pointsGive the tyres a try in the wet, they may not be too bad. I wanted to hate on the brand new triangle th201's that came on my 535i but they turned out perfectly fine for a family car. No they aren't Michelin PS4S but the car also isn't a 911 turbo. Very nice looking wagon though. GG.

2 pointsPut on euro plates and Did the carplay install today. Quite impressed with this Carplay unit (Roadtop from eBay), came with detailed colour, English instructions, simple wiring, basically plug and play and well integrated with factory system (e.g microphone / reverse camera / steering controls). Also nice working on a more modern car where no clips etc are broken. Took about 3 hours to install and set up properly, mainly due to needing to remove glovebox to find a place to secure the unit.

1 pointHi there This is my e30 project bought as a rolling shell in 2020 Fitted Nissan engine, EFR turbo,forged fj20made engine loom,link ecu,made exhaust manifold,engine mounts,sump,fitted big fuel pump put brake booster assembly in the cabin,driveshaft hoops , 3 inch exhaust ,mishimoto radiator and inter cooler,lsd with e36 rear hat,widened steelies,panel and paint,and finally ready for the dyno and hunting for interior parts to finish off.Most of the e30s I’ve ever worked on have been race cars so we would bin the interiors so it’s ironic that is now the stuff I need to find Hope to post car on the Dyno if all goes ok. 1 pointHi there, Up for sale is a complete e36 M3 coupe interior, electric front seats (Vaders), rear seats, bolsters, headrests, and door cards, in M-Rain fabric and Alcantara. There are no seatbelts but these are an easy exchange from your existing seats or you can pick them up from a wrecker (any e36 coupe/sedan belts will work). I will not separate the seats or the door cards but I will entertain selling the seats and door cards as separate lots although selling together is the preference. Front electric Vaders, rear seat base and split folding backs, bolsters, headrests: $1600 Front and rear door cards: $600 Everything together: $2000 Pick up only from Mount Wellington, inspections welcome by arrangement. Seats The seats are in good to very good condition with the exception of the driver’s seat which is in relatively poor condition. Given they’re 25+ years old they’ve held up well and were good enough for my car for 4 or 5 years. If you’re not going to get the driver’s seat reupholstered immediately, I’d swap the cushions with the passenger’s seat to buy some time. IIRC correctly I replaced the plastic cogs in the driver’s seat and that has full adjustment, I don’t think the seat base tilt is working on the passenger’s side but it’s set to a comfortable position and the other electrics and back fold etc work just fine. Regardless they’re sold as is. Door Cards The door cards are excellent for their age and although they have been reglued it’s been done well. The vinyl lining of some of the front pockets has delaminated and there’s a cut in one (see picture in zip file below) but this is hardly noticeable when installed. The cards themselves are in good shape with no cracks and all of the clips and brackets are intact, the clips were new about 5 years ago when I installed these on my car but it might be a good idea to have a couple spare, I can’t guarantee these. 1 pointIt nearly always ends up not being perfect. Which will be why the pro's don't do it. A few of my old Nissans ended up having ripply guards when I went a bit to far. Good results took hours per guard and often burnt fingers from the heat gun. Most rollers you can buy are designed to only roll the edge up a little. Not flat. Flat requires panel beating and will nearly always crack the paint. 1 pointGave in after the pics on here and bought some of this stuff as well as the spray. Car was very tidy anyway, so maybe hard to spot the difference, but certainly looks nice and shiny. Just gotta wait to put the spray on, didnt realise it was 24 hours after the polish. Also have that same DA from supercheap, seems to work well, however also have never used a DA before so no idea on comparison with other units.

1 pointIt went good on the dyno!, So nerve wracking with a new build hoping everything will go smoothly One issue that bit me was a cheap tm fuel pressure reg……..should know better It made 348 hp atw at 14psi Super happy with the result , Now onto the cert process

1 pointYup. Challenge in Greytown yesterday. 46.31litres $113.41 $2.449/l Wairarapa is usually cheaper than Wellington. Greytown and Martinborough are priced to catch Wellingtonians and the cashed up boo..retirees. On another note. Has anyone been told off for stockpiling RUC at the discounted price yet?

1 pointAll sorted over the weekend. Down pipe and intercooler were super quick and easy. Charge pipe was just a bit fiddly to install, but would be easy on a second attempt. Didn't get around to installing the DV+. MHD was also really straight forward, even on 'stage 1' it made a noticeable difference. Now with stage 2+ it's a totally different animal to what it was originally haha. Well worth it all in my opinion, as well as xHP transmission flash too.

1 pointHahaha... did that in the E39 years ago, with a Ranger behind me... At a roundabout, I changed down to second in preparation for the exit, but didn't slow down, took the roundabout at 55km/h and booted it as I exited (only a 525i though!)... Ranger tried to follow... he mounted the footpath behind me as I blitzed off into the 80 zone 🤣 He kept some distance after😋

1 pointNot specifically utes but tailgaters in general - Turn a tight corner at the or near the speed limit without braking and continue. They will always drop their balls, disappear well back and get mad they their pos couldn't do that same. Then its usually speeding just to get back to tailgating you. Always gets a laugh out of me.

1 pointI do have a bit of hate for the Ute down these ways. Every 2nd vehicle is a Ute here. They are the fastest, best handling and most capable vehicle in the world. We call it Ranger Danger. Because you just know the one sitting 2m off your bumper in a school zone is going to pass you in a dangerous spot using all of their 1500hp and F1esk handling. It's funny because it is the behaviour that BMW drivers usually get blamed for.
