Hi there, New to the forum I have a E46 M3 csl which I have brought back from the UK. It is the Silver ver and certainly not a Garage Queen as I drive it as much as I can. I was fairly active in a few clubs back in the UK going to shows / track days and over to Germany to a certain ring for a little bit of fun. Hoping to get to see a few more Bmmers over here with like minded petrolheads

This is not uncommon and often overlooked by people modifying vehicles Have a read https://www.aaen.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/adradSTRAY.pdf

Since you have a line of communication put the onus on them to theorise... because it would have cost them less to replace it already. Ask them what might cause this "corrosion" in 18 months if only distilled water and wetter was used... see what they say and whether they blame you (explicitly).

While the Duttons S54 M Coupe was a special car at a special price, I still agree with you that the car on Trademe is over priced. $50,000 to 55,000 landed and fully N.Z complied is the going rate for it considering the mileage. Not $50,000 plus shipping and compliance. Having been a member of various UK Z3 forums for years, I've seen some horror photos of rust under Z3's with similar mileages as the M Coupe that would not get through the N.Z compliance system. It may be pristine, but it is an area to keep in mind and get photos of the under side during any negotiations.

I actually love $1 reserve auctions, and mucho kudos to HellBM for running this one under those conditions. IMO this kind of thing kind of sets a benchmark for a true market driven referable price point for these cars. Anybody serious about a 135i can now point to this (really nice) example and say, with confidence, that is what the NZ market thinks these vehicles are worth. And therefore the $20k (or whatever) you are asking may be a little optimistic.........

20 February 2019. 172937kms 1. Replaced rear ARB bushes and associated fasteners (Genuine BMW) for the Dynamic Drive. 2. Replaced rear ARB endlinks (TRW OEM). They were showing signs of cracking around the boots. 3. Aircon service, drain, re-fill including dye. Monitoring. Car is a little sharper again, as a result of the rear-end preventative maintenance. Have only driven urban roads and speeds so far, though the rear feels a little more alive, as though it’s more engaged and responding to changes in the road more actively. Odd! Overall: “better”. ? Auto38 great service. You should use them too!

Having ignorantly purchased a LHD refresh kit for the power steering it ended up costing me nothing but a little of my time. FCP Euro took back the LHD parts, refunded me and even paid for return shipping, how good is that! Because the crush washers went back with the lines I had to get them locally and BMW NZ charges over $3 each which is criminal. I should have ordered them from abroad and waited. Nevertheless, it all went in on the weekend so now I have a fresh power steering system (including rack) to add to all the other maintenance items - at this rate it's getting more love than the M3 at the moment... totally replaced interior (abandoned M3 project + used from Zebra) totally replaced suspension w/M3 inc. used struts, springs and bars w/all new mounts, bushes and links entirely new cooling system rad, pump, therm, hoses etc. (new OEM + alu rad) aftermarket wheels and new tyres (17's forged BBS RGR + cheap Pirellis) replaced steering rack, reservoir, hoses, bolts, washers and fluid Alignment today and it drives straight again! That was a bit of practice for when I come to put the Z3 rack in the M3 sometime soon...

This dual purpose e30 has undertaken a somewhat 'transgender' change over the Christmas break from being a drive/race-to-and-from-motorsport-events vehicle to a more a road/cruise friendly vehicle. Hopefully the pictures relay what is being offered for sale here. This vehicle now has re-upholstered front seats. NB Sparco Race seats have been removed. There are new rear ones which could be fitted with the removal of the rear roll cage, reasonably straight forward operation. Has current rego and wof As it is now, it has a sale Price of $12,000 Any query or enquiry please PM and txt. We have regular interrupted telecommunications Txt 0204200254

I have a keen interest in purchasing a Z3 M Coupe. Have had for years.....sadly. I know a little about importing cars from the UK (see my owned vehicles). A purchase price of $50k nzd for a UK based car will result in a total, vinned and on the road in NZ, price of probably $20k nzd over the initial purchase price. It's a nice car, for sure. But it makes the $80k nz new s54 sold by Duttons in ChCh a few weeks ago look like a better deal.

Does the diffuser have the venturi shaped into it? From the photos it looks like it is flat across the top, with nothing underneath. How low are you going to be running the car? To get the real benefits from the diffuser it has to be scraping the ground which can be problematic on most NZ tracks as they are bumpy as hell.

I don't think there are many people in the world that have drilled carbon fibre door panels to fit speakers around their cage... Will be good to listen to a bit of "getting your race face on" tunes when sitting on the grid. It's like a real life one of those Hot Wheels Tuners cars where you could swap bits in and out, only a whole lot more epic.

And pics of the new seats front and rear... considering these look nearly new and my old ones looked (and felt) terrible this is a HUGE upgrade... really like the Motorsport fabric as well. ? ?
