Hey guys, Looking at selling touring 2.0 so thought I'd put it up here first. Picked this up to do a manual conversion on it and use it as a daily but things change details are as follows; 97 NZ New 328 currently auto 200kms Tidy black leather interior Runs well but hasn't moved in about 9 months, can be heard running Suspect faulty trans computer as have replaced the box with another working one but still not working Looking for $3k including getrag manual conversion, 2.5 as is. Will be up for sale on TM etc for 3.5 in the coming days.

Offset is about 10mm higher on the 1 series over the 3 series. Will be very tight on the strut. Unless you have spacers, personally I'd avoid them.

Do you always look at things quite so negatively? Test drove it today and suspension was fine, small amount of paint fade on the bonnet and has about 50% of the service history but overall, I'd say its priced about right for what it is.

Open plan is the worst. We have one side set on 21 cooling, the others 21 warming. We put all the people who think its cold in the warming half, and the ones who think its hot, in the cooling side.

They are 17s yes. 3 are perfect and 2 have minor curbing. Too dark for photos tonight.

I have a set of 5, Style 5s sitting here off an e39 and just seeing if there is any interest in them as I don't particulary need them. Will get photos tonight as long as there is enough light. Complete with good tyres (will confirm brand and tread) and in fairly good condition for a set that is completely original. Looking for $2000 ono, located in Christchurch.

Pretty sure I used them for new gas struts on the touring. No complaints here. Eastern Europe is a hot bed for new cheap BMW parts, just hope they haven't fallen off the back of a truck. Literaly.

It's worse in Sweden where the footpath is covered in Snooz or however it is spelt. For some good looking people they got a nasty habit.

Good to know - my mate had a diesil golf that had a 15k repair bill on its DSG gearbox (work car thankfully). This one I'm looking at is an import and has a mechanical warranty which if I do buy it, I'll get it transferred over. Cambelt etc has apparently just been done but will check it all out in due course.

Going to bump this up again and see if there is any other feedback. Looking at a mk5 GTi with a 6 speed manual for a daily.

Only thing worse is the Ssangyong Ute racing series. My eyes and ears bleed everytime I accidently come across them on the TV.

I had to re-read this a couple of times as at the first read I thought you were taking the car to get scrapped! Thankfully not.

I pull up next to them and slowly creep forward, then I'll rev the engine like I'm taking off and then watch them take off into the intersection thinking the light is green.

It shouldn't be that hard as the driver is always in the centre of the road. That being said the first time I got to a roundabout in Italy, I went the wrong way round. Thankfully it was in a carpark.
