I read somewhere that Chris Evans was/had a meeting with one of the 3 to try to get them back. Don't know how accurate that was but interesting if it was true.
-
Yes to all three.

It's worse in Sweden where the footpath is covered in Snooz or however it is spelt. For some good looking people they got a nasty habit.
-
Good to know - my mate had a diesil golf that had a 15k repair bill on its DSG gearbox (work car thankfully). This one I'm looking at is an import and has a mechanical warranty which if I do buy it, I'll get it transferred over. Cambelt etc has apparently just been done but will check it all out in due course.

Going to bump this up again and see if there is any other feedback. Looking at a mk5 GTi with a 6 speed manual for a daily.
-
Only thing worse is the Ssangyong Ute racing series. My eyes and ears bleed everytime I accidently come across them on the TV.
-
I had to re-read this a couple of times as at the first read I thought you were taking the car to get scrapped! Thankfully not.
-
I pull up next to them and slowly creep forward, then I'll rev the engine like I'm taking off and then watch them take off into the intersection thinking the light is green.

It shouldn't be that hard as the driver is always in the centre of the road. That being said the first time I got to a roundabout in Italy, I went the wrong way round. Thankfully it was in a carpark.

Mate has a PFL 318 auto down here in Christchurch he needs to get rid of. Has a few goodies which can be included or not if you are that why inclined. Will get some photos and PM you if you are interested.

Thanks Brent, will pass on your details to my mate. Eventful wee trip in the dark, rain and cold. Got in about midnight last night, stay tuned.

Coming to a town near you
-
I would but don't have the room at the moment sorry.
-
Schoolkids plus Netflix. PM me your number and I'll take a wee look and see if anything can be done.

Just import a kit from the US or UK. Don't my gearbox would work as first up the bellhousing would be different, don't even know where else to begin. But would be the same reason why you can't use an e36 manual box.
-
Or a manual driveshaft.
-
E39 one will fit physically but it has added electronics as the e39 has tiptronic. I looked at this years ago and going manual was the better option.
-
Also some under the windscreen but shall be able to give it a good looking over once it is back here in Christchurch. Car has had a respray at some point in time. Couldn't get it started unfortunately but he did say there was some knocking. Hopefully it remains a bargain.

Was up at the arse crack of dawn to go see this with a mate who was keen. Will be bringing it back to christchurch on Wednesday. He is a member on here so will try to get him to make a thread. If not I'll do one for him :-)

Yea saw that, dont really want to spend that much on the daily. Will go all out for the project wagon.
-
bump - picked up a manual conversion (minus clutch/flywheel) for wagon number 2 so need a complete setup for a 328 again
-
Trademe and their fees. 25c to have a different reserve price to start price, cheeky f**kers.
-
Offset is too high for an e34
-
Bump - now on trademe. $500 owns them
-
From an e36 with 200k's, smooth shifting when removed. Complete with torque convertor. $50 - need it gone
