During the last year, sold prices in Camden were 8% up on the previous year and 24% up on 2010 when the average house price was £734,149. Zoopla says 13.7% yoy http://www.theguardian.com/money/2014/jul/02/leap-london-house-prices-unequalled-nationwide

I crack up at all these 'can't believe prices in AK / Ponsonby' comments you hear. Prices are like that as there are so many people willing and able to pay it. They see the value. Just because you don't doesn't mean it's wrong - that's the market for that product. Compared to outer suburbs, Ponsonby etc. has shorter & cheaper commute to city, cheaper taxis, walking distance to entertainment, far better entertainment. There are legit savings to living in central areas. A lot of people that come back from the UK want that pub lifestyle. They are willing to pay for the few areas in AK that offer that. (And are already used to paying $4000+ per month in rent). Housing inflation IMO is a problem rooted deep in the financial system we have (and post 2008 proved we are unwilling to change). In saying that Auckland is no worse than a lot of other cities. London is f**king mental right now. Sydney is sick also. Both those places have capital gains taxes and stamp duties! They other issue is building costs - you aren't getting much change out of $400k for a basic house - on a flat, easy access site. So straight away you are in for half a million in shitsville where land is only $100k. Opinions on value aside - you can't deny history - prices have always gone up and unless you made a mistake or were forced to sell in a 'dip' everyone is 'up'. My whol adult life there has been haters saying 'crash coming don't buy' - while I agree with some of their logic, if I'd bought as much as I could at ANY point in the past, I'd be rich. /Registered Valuer PS - Golden Dawn music is good!

If I won the Powerball I would buy this.

Ebay is even cheaper. But I actually like the yellow better

Thread jack sorry, but what about the OEM 19" e46 m3 wheels? They aren't painted are they? (Machined with clear coat?) Cheers
-
OK thanks - post up when you are ready to go.
-
Also - how does the charger plug stay seated? (i.e. if you push you phone in/down how does it not get pushed down too?)
-
John Key's e30

Looks pretty good! How is the charger connected? Why is there a curve in the front? EDIT: oh the curve is 'down' to reveal the button? How much we looking at?
-
Ha, not really. But on the plus side there seems to be quite a few on the market ATM. As you are a highly educated and enlightened individual that understands the advantages of SMG you are in a great position to scoop one up!

It is quite elastic - when bookings are low (i.e. in advance) it's cheaper. Turn up on the day and put your card in = r4pe. I should add covered was only like $2 a day more.
-
If you book with enough notice online (a week?) the actual domestic terminal parking is the same price as park n ride. I did 5 days recently and it was $52 for the domestic park and $48 for park n ride. YMMV due to capacity at the time.

If you got $7k less an excess you did a lot better than me selling mine.

I see that 318i all the time - it's tidy.
-
Looks tidy! Personally I like those wheels and would keep them. External visual mods for me would be an msport bumper. But it looks great as is. This car didn't even exist when I was 17!
-
I did have some hassle as they struggled to verify my credit card, got there in the end. (sent an email from my work address?) Wait - was like 6 days and they were on my doorstep. All up I was fitted for well under $2k It's kind of sad local shops can't come close. I would rather support local business, but the gap is a piss take.

PSS - I was reluctant due to the cost, but all I can say is believe the hype. The ride is so much better, wet grip is great, noise is waaay less and from reviews wear sounds excellent (300). Plus they are best looking tyre IMO. (Love that 'rounded' profile) Factor this in for cost - Shipping ~$300USD, GST is on cost + shipping, $50 customs fee. (+fitting and balancing) (Edit; comparing to RE050A)

Pretty sure my JDM 328i Auto didn't have 4.45 diff. Converted to manual using a '325i' box - real world was like 'Japanese car' ratios. 2nd would top out around 80km. 100km in 5th was just over 3k rpm. Initially I was worried it was too short, but after a while I prefer it. If you did A LOT of open road driving / 100km m.way, I would think twice.
-
I saw it outside the tyre shop today, black wheels look way better in person. Carbon mirrors go well with them. Under 4k for 2k, ouch... You should just put it on blocks and let it run!
-
This is so awesome Tom - was speaking to Ray about it and definitely keen for SMG flash... Cheers Nick

Pretty wide range I reckon for what on paper look like similar cars. I would have paid well over $15k for a facelift (factory) manual msport 330i coupe in gunmetal. Never found one.
