Hello, I am looking to get out of the potentially troublesome (touch wood) 120i and considering an e90 325i, but am a little unclear on the engines and their relative issues. From wikipedia I see it notes 2005-2008 as N52 but 2007-2011 as N53. I assume the cross over is in different markets? Is the N52 a decent motor without big flaws? Is the N53 worth the extra $ ? (ignoring it is a newer car and LCI) Be interested in your expert opinions Thanks, Nick

You can get nicotine free e-cig juice. But they are an unknown quantity. (disclaimer - I don't 'vape' just read a bit about it)

If you can stop cold, obviously that's the best, but I'm surprised e-cig's haven't been mentioned. Nicotine free ones look like a good option when trying to quite a 'proper' habit of 10+ a day.

Like most cars, launch control will cause extra wear on the components. However if you just floor it off the line it is pretty aggressive. So much so that I never use LC.

That's only 100 miles. I felt good about buying one with 'low' kms... next minute I've added almost a third of it's lifetime km's in a year. 30km here of there affects the price far more than anything else IMO.

Pretty sure you need the mk60 DSC which I think is late 2002. Mine is December 02 MY. On a closed road you couldn't get sideways, but it allows way more slip before DSC kicks in.
