^ circlip is there, somebody is holding it! Just the older style. Engine looks clean.

Good to hear. I assume you're getting your old VANOS unit back? If so, hit me up as we can recondition it.

^ don't be mean. Variety is the spice of life. -
You're kidding right?

Somebody with an E36 M3 (or actually any 'sporty' E36) buy this *NOW* you will *NOT* regret it. Yellow tag is effectively the same rack, some people wank on about the difference but there is no real world difference. I have a "purple" rack in my M3 and it's awesome - wreckers sell these all day for NZ$350 - at $200 it's a f'ing bargin. Can't believe it hasn't been snapped up. Edit: cleanest one I've ever seen too lol.

Watching with interest because I want to retire the M3 from DD duties soon and just want a hack. -
That sucks. Sorry if I sent you down the wrong path! I wonder if they've done wheels before because the two wheel places I've used have both cleaned them by sandblasting (outsourced).

Congrats bro. I hope all are happy and healthy.

Except that ridiculous extended CSL type trunk lid that also doesn't fit very well.
-
I was quietly impressed when I saw this at the last coffee and cars meet. There's not much more to say really and I don't want to get soppy but again, this is top shelf work.

^ but it's not a "low volume" vehicle is it? Edit: in reply to Mike's comment, not Julian's.

I think the 8 and 5 series of the era use the same points, I'm sure we could get Martin (BreakMyWindow - M5) or Julian (jeffbebe - 850) to test them. My M3 is comparatively light so tbh, if they work for you they'll probably work for me!

The ones that bent were from a traditional US supplier... tubed steel with the slots. TBH I'm not sure of the parameters required for a "good" one and I'm certainly not criticising yours. Are yours solid or tubed?
-
Interesting. A friend of mine had his steel ones bend and that was just from lifting (not holding). I'm not so sure I want aluminium ones... capability to make them from steel?
-
Still keen...

Keen to make any more? I'll buy one or two...

Dude!? He hasn't called anyone out yet, he's just asked the question. And you've flipped out and called him 'mentally challenged'. You seriously need to think about the words you type.

WTF? :-/

Not sure everyone is on the same page... How many o-rings are visible? (1?) How many o-rings should there be? (2?) Something doesn't add up. Rather than just saying 'you're wrong' how about you all elaborate for the benefit of the rest of us? One way or the other.
-
Shouldn't... ...but this is a good idea.
-
Surely sandblasting would only be about $25 a wheel?

If it weren't for that interior I'd be tempted. I have no problem with light on dark (I have Lotus White on black myself) but the two-tone plastics don't do it for me.
