  1. VANOS hub failure isn't mentioned above (that I saw). Replace with upgraded unit when you do the bolts, solenoids and seals. If VANOS hasn't been completely overhauled (with receipts etc) take $2k off the price.
  2. If you consider doing a front under tray (as per: http://www.motionmotorsport.net/products/e36-m3-underpanel-kit) I'm 100% keen.
  3. He doesn't know (or rather he does know, he just doesn't know how much). I used to be him.

Whilst I wasn't keen on one I also had completely different $$$ in mind, certainly that's more than the sum of the parts!

    Quick rant thread.

    Cut it out, Flintstones style!
  6. Same, even though I now realise how bad it really smells to a non-smoker!
  7. Well done Kyu... and never have a sneaky one, it's a slippery slope! Edit: at 28+ days you're already well past the hardest stage!
  8. Yeah... hard to walk past an RS4. But seriously challenging maintenance, engine out for almost everything.
  9. Yes, but a godsend when even an indi wants to charge $60 for a code read... Props on the purchase and diagnostics Martin.
  10. You can't own a 7'er without rear tray tables!
  11. Sorry for the delay guys. I'm still waiting on final details from the US... new stock is inbound and since don't need it immediately I let my order go to the back of the queue. I'm getting 6 yards of M Rain and will need 3 (ish) yards of Alcantara - perhaps Allan can help Sascha if there's enough?

You need to use the non-mobile version of the forum (or a computer).
  13. Where did you get this done if you don't mind? And do you know what they did?
  14. Agreed, but it must at least be tried...
  15. Do you realise there are alternative methods? http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=670388
  16. Not sure about the rest but that's not a stock M3 spring, they're not black for a start.
  17. Interesting, cheers. Mine were lubed when I took them out, not sure when they were last disassembled. I've swapped for the brass bushings up front so need to lube mine regardless (and clean them more often). I've not yet done the first 'service' on them and will be interested in how they look, as they have no dust caps.
  18. Not sure why TIS would recommend against lubing the pins, it's standard operating procedure really.
  19. Hmm... you're giving me ideas...
  20. Not true. The other side is there in plain view for us to see. This is a shitty job period. Mike, did you pay ask for a shitty job or a reasonable one?
  21. Keep it up dude, 10 days is a huge milestone, well done!
  22. Set up cameras and entice them back with another pair of shoes.
  23. Wow, great spot - and only 305 made.
