Nobody wants a great manual BMW???

Appreciate the analysis. The engine makes a terrific sound! Much 'tighter' than my 523i. Cheap E46s don't have these options and that's the reason I wouldn't buy them. This car is so very nice to sit in and drive. The seats, the suspension, steering wheel and MANUAL gearbox are a wicked combination. Plus heated seats, sunroof, cruise control.. it's gem, which is why I bought it. But I have too many cars and need to sell it. Lack of the body kit makes it a sleeper. :-) Make me an offer... otherwise I have to stump up $70 for trademe :-(

For anyone who might have a similar problem... I replaced the throttle body with a used one (from pick-a-part) and that fixed it.

My 1999 523i wagon goes into limp mode as soon as I try to drive it away. It's idles fine after startup. The only code on the OBD2 is 505, ICV. I've had the intake apart and cleaned things and fixed some vacuum leaks but no luck. I think it would be nice to see the real codes from the BMW computer. Can anyone loan me a reader? Thanks

I assume this was an automatic. Do you now if this diff will bolt in to my 320i manaul?

I removed it from a car at scrap yard so don't know anything about it. It looks good and I will guarantee it, that is, I'll refund your money if it doesn't work.
