STILL AVAILABLE. Swapping backed out after many covid delays. How needs these? I want them gone!

I'd like a set of stock Z3 2.8 springs, though I think any 6 cyl Z3 should do. Ideally I'd like motorsport springs (such as off of a Japanese import), but I'd settle for anything stock. Anybody have some lying around? Thank.

Sure, but that's not a 'Touring', don't you know a touring doubles the utility... and the price. š¤£

My 2 bits. You had it inspected, so it's your problem if it's not what you expected. Your inspection guy should have caught these things, clearly he didn't take the time/care you expected. Granted the seller was not exactly forthright, but when buying a car with 300,000 kms there's always going to be issues. Also, it's only $1300... a pittance in BMW terms. Your answered your own question in your post... suck it up, I'm afraid š

Agree, on the surface the price seems outlandish BUT, these cars are begin listed for $150k-$250k. I have a hard time believing anyone is buying at this price but more then one party seems to think it's possible. So, 50k for this car 70k for resto and you can still make 20k-50k profit... if you can sell it.
-
LOL, a stupid price and no decent photos..curious marketing strategy.
-
Holy S*T an E28 with less than 300,000 kms... it might be worth the asking price!
-
Yup, the dreamers are getting a dose of reality. Still all overpriced by at least another 5k, but in another year or two... who knows?
-
Precisely! Half the kms... While these high kms cars can be in 'immaculate' condition, there's no denying that more kms equal more loose panels, more rattles and squeaks, etc..
-
The problem with valuing these it there are so few and none are changing hands. I looked on Contrails and baulked at $16k but in the end I am led to believe he refused higher offers. (no dog box BTW). I agree with you that this is 10k overpriced, but we'll never know until it sells. š

LOL, from bimmer.work... 199 Equipment For Leaded Fuel Ausstattung Bleihaltiger Kraftstoff Nice, ZA using leaded fuel in 2001... what would be different in the engine?

Z3s are going up but this is pretty 'optimistic' Granted, it is very low kms and the best one available. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/z3/listing/3317065438

Noteworthy here is this car has LESS THEN 20,000 KMS! That adds a LOT to its value, in most circles. I'm amazed at the crazy prices put cars in NZ with 250,000+ kms, or any 'classic' car in NZ with more than 100,000kms.

I expect most people here know, but just in case, the US M3 have an M54 based motor making 'only' 240hp, with a single throttle body. They are good (I've driven one at length) but don't have the raw experience of the S50B30 or B32.

IMHO this car is worth more than the near identical car with SMG which is currently listed for $50k, because it isn't an SMG. Both are certainly overpriced, or hoping for a desperate buyer, which could happen. These prices are definitely on the horizon though. I'm really regretting not buying the $35k M3 a few weeks ago!

Steep yes, but I'm pretty sure you CAN'T get a manual F10 M5 in NZ. Anybody seen one?
-
You'd be in line after me!
-
Magenta! Awesome. If it was manual Iād buy it.
-
My goodness, an E30 on stock springs. Wonders never cease...
-
Beauty, but automatic... so pffffft.
-
Ha ha ha. I laughed so hard I nearly dropped my gun.
-
Yes , similar safeguards to TM.. NONE...what safeguards does TM have when buying privately??? None that I am aware of.
-
IMHO it will a few years up to forever before they get that $ for it. LHD!
-
I 2nd that. And in a month it will be slammed to the ground , with 19" wheels and some "bad ass sounds." ā¹ļøš« Maybe even some hi-lux fender flares.

The last V6 3 series I saw was at a dealer, even more impressive. š
