Last E34 M5 I recall for sale was a white ZA assembled 3.6 (IIRC) one in ChCh about 5 years ago. It sold for around $27k. I was very interested but it seemed too much... not so anymore.

I want an E34 M5... I've seen 1 for sale in the last 8 years and it was ZA assembled, which didn't seem ideal. E39 M5 values are getting 'out of hand' too.

I was thinking the price was optimistic mostly due to the high kms/history but OTOH... https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/bmw-535-m535i-originale-carnet-entretien-gasoline-green-70dd517a-715e-ac37-e053-e350040a82b1?cldtidx=5&cldtsrc=listPage&searchId=-617030019 https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/bmw-535-i-m-paket-e28-h-zulass-unikat-scheckheft-gasoline-white-c8ddee55-996d-4037-ae17-e773a767cd13?cldtidx=4&cldtsrc=listPage&searchId=-617030019 (none for sale in UK at present)

It automatic... who cares... if it was manual the price would be a little high. As it is... pfffft. Waste of money to convert.

I am shocked that BMW made a car in 1994 without airbags... NZ market only?

What happened to these? Enquiring mind wants to know. 😀

A Rare E46TI 5spd &/or buy the Trifecta for a His & Hers

I'd say it increase the changes infinitely... as I have told my wife, you can't win if you don't have a ticket but you can if you do.... particularly relevant when I did win. 🙂 Still I shared it with her... Caveat: I only waste $7 on a ticket. -
See the questions asked... It's a rare car, not a REAR car... for %#@$@# sake, why do so many people on trade me do this?
-
Thanks for the tip. My car is NZ new 2.8 without M suspension. KYB Excel-G can be bought at supercheap fro $130 inc GST each. Any experience with those? I'm look for something with a lot of damping. I would like Bilstein HD but that'll be $500 for the pair.

As it says... Would like new/used rear shocks for the Z3.
-
Or Pick-A-Part. Should be able to a suitable donor car there.

Buy in the UK and save a few $$$ https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010024503305?radius=1500&postcode=sw1a2aa

Didn't really miss your point, I was just being a smart ass. They are quite different cars, I understand. I've only had the Z3 a short time so still getting acquainted with it and the shocks are stuffed so can't push it too hard. Where can I get a set of rear Bilsteins cheap? Way off topic now, but where's the cheapest place to buy Bilsteins in NZ? (I will be using the stock springs :-0)

Works for me... PM me.

I can compare them.. I have both cars 🙂 I can find no fault with my 318i rack. The car is a pleasure to drive. I may try to crawl under there and check the rack part number as I'm curious what it is.
-
Good observation. I'm just trying to decide A purple seems the recommended choice but I am very happy with the rack in my 318i so am thinking of going with one of those which would be, as you observed, stock :-). I don't drive the M3 much but when I do the first thing I notice is the appalling steering wheel movement needed to turn the car (as you pointed out, this M3 rack is known to be the worst). I also have a Z3 and I feel the 318i and the Z3 are very comparable, hence my leaning toward 'stock'.
-
make an offer.... want them gone... need a steering rack...
-
I'll second that... wings are stupid on any road car, particularly so on a car that should look 'dignified', not boy racer. Also, I buy my cars for driving, not 'turning heads'. Silly me, I paid the cost of the 'upgrades' for a whole M3!

Thanks. That's a bit more than I expected for such high kms, it must have been in very good condition. The recent asking price for under 200k 1.9 manuals had been around $5k. A good idea to auction it!
