  1. Probably the battery...but if you have installed anything that gets power from the rear lighting circuits (LEDS or reversing camera) it is easy to provide an unwanted return path that drains the battery very quickly.
  2. For 5k more you could get into a similarly spec'd (with 200km+) m3...and I can't understand why you would even try to sell a perfectly good car with no rego?
  3. Illegal link. It's unlikely this post will last once the moderators see it...
  4. I want to get some stone chips touched up on the front of the M3. Can anyone recommend a paint shop that can do a good Carbon Black match?
  5. Are the fog light inserts on the vert the same as for an M3 coupe? If so, where do I get them?
  6. The first thing I would change is the forum you subscribe to....just saying.
  7. I want something that makes my Hard Top CB M3 different. At the moment it is absolutely ex condition and stock apart from the SMG CSL mods etc. Looking for suggestions (fittings) that are available here that would make it just a bit 'different' to look at.
  8. Some people have a weird sense of value.
  9. Yeh well...I repeat what I said back in May.
  10. I have one down on the Kapiti Coast...They are all aluminium and weigh 28kg. For those of us who like the lines of the hard-top there is always the thought (for me anyway) of removing the soft-top hardware which weighs 115kg. This would gives a net weight loss of around 90kg.
  11. "Jap import" are only words. If you like the look of a car and it runs okay then buy it. It is rare for a truly bad import to get landed these days and it is mainly the non-english aspects of the car (and radio etc.) that puts people off. People forget that all cars are imported into NZ, and it is just where they have done their km's that is the problem.
  12. You got me all excited and sent me on a wild goose chase - I thought you meant Ron Larson...
  13. You have ruined my theory and I've been awake all night thinking about this...
  14. Yeh...or inter-stellar travel. I have my own theories on alien propulsion systems. Since the big bang the universe is expanding so I reckon they are not coming to us, they are braking and witing for us to catch up to them. Far more efficient.
  15. That only took four pages!!
  16. The issue is about ONLINE shopping which can't be done without an internet connection. Shopping at the mall can however be done by walking there.
  17. I have no problem with the concept of paying tax on imported goods but I object to paying GST twice. Once for the imported goods and once for the internet service I use to buy the goods in the first place.
  18. No one said it would compile as is...it was merely suggested way forward according to the description given. ie. a high out for each pulse from a sensor. There is nothing wrong with delays in the ISR as long as the Interrupt period >> pulse width.
  19. On first glance that would seem really easy to implement but it begs the question why you need to do this with a microcontroller? When you say magnetic speed sensor do you mean mechanical (ie. reed switch) or hall effect and if so is it latching or not? Either way a simple electronic switch would do the job. If you must use an Arduino, connect the sensor to an external Interrupt pin so that when it gets a signal it switches an output to 5V - simple code: void setup() { Serial.begin(9600); attachInterrupt(0, detect_sensor, RISING); // Initialize external Interrupt 0 (Pin 2 or 3 on most Arduino boards) pinMode(digital pin number, OUTPUT); // Set pin ( you choose) to output } void loop() { // do nothing or something { void sensor_detect() // Interrupt service routine { digitalWrite(pin, HIGH); // Switch to 5V delay(50); // Change the value in mS if you need shorter or longer pulse width digitalWrite(digital pin number, LOW); // Switch back to 0V }
  20. What - a tape player was an option..I doubt it? CD was standard from MY2003
