  1. Yeh, I went there too. Really enjoyed playing with the moving cutaway bi-turbo engines. I couldn't believe how clean the factory was.
  2. Looks practically identical to mine except I have a hard top. I wouldn't mind his wheels though...
  3. Why on earth would you want to bring in a SIV car and sell it? If you think you may want to sell it then do it my way and get an exemption. There are then no rules like this to worry about.
  4. Ask for a telephone number. If it is genuine then it is no big deal to send it.
  5. That's the deal. There is also the possibility that the dealer, if small, paid marine insurance. Do it yourself and save 5k
  6. I can't stress enough...do your homework and anything is possible - see attached. The effort to prove that this E46 M3 was emission compliant only took a few nights of research.
  7. You will be able to import a 2008 Evo X as they are Euro IV. You could go the SIV route if you can find an Evo IX RS but you will be paying a premium. That also goes for a few other Evo models that have build numbers less than 20,000. Do your homework, SIV is dead easy if you have the facts.
  8. Would go for more if the fire brigade hadn't stuck a crow-bar under the corner of the bonnet.
  9. That's easy depending on what photos you want? TMC is not available in NZ.
  10. Thank goodness for crumple zones?
  11. I actually think it is probably a good buy.
  12. Welcome...why do people blank out their number plates? Anyone can see them out on the street. I would give you a wave if I knew for sure it was you from your plate rather than some stranger out in his car.

You won't notice any difference between tyres (to a point) unless you have something to compare them with under high stress conditions, and of course everybody has several sets lying around to do just that. Just buy what you can afford and ignore all the helpful suggestions.
  14. Head on up to Mike Page European in Paraparaumu. And being 'struck off' just sounds bad but it is only a technical term and may mean the owner just closed the business due to ill health etc. The leak will possibly be a small split in the expansion tank...usual weak point.
  15. Rotelated....sorry couldn't resist.

I've had RE050A Bridgestones (XL) all round on the M for the last 15 months. TBH I can't fault them for the price. The big plus is they don't wear as fast as the premium tyres on our tar seal roads.
  17. Exactly...100km/hr is just a rectum-reach number.
  18. Yeh, it is the pre-amp in the new head unit. It is quite normal as I said. Build a simple speaker delay.
  19. It's actually quite normal for the output of an amp to make speakers pop at switch on. That is why you usually turn on the amp or whatever and then about two seconds later you hear a click and then sound. The solution is to build a short delay circuit eg. http://www.eleccircuit.com/simple-delay-speakers/ so that a double pole relay connects the speakers a few seconds after the amp or whatever is switched on. It's normal, just you usually can't hear it.
  20. Open to offers around 65k due to the extremely low km. Yes you can buy one a bit cheaper but not in this condition. BMW F10 535i 2012 M Sport 6700km (Six thousand) - Absolutely showroom condition. Unmarked inside, outside and spotless underneath - Carbon Black with shadowline trim - Auto Lights package - Heads up display - Premium 16 speaker audio with HDD - Nav (NZ) - Factory rear spoiler - 19" rims - Sport suspension - 8-speed sports auto - Black leather interior with anthracite interior trim - iPhone 4 (included) mounted in factory media adapter - Electric and heated seats I ordered this directly from the factory (to NZ spec. - km/hr, Nav etc.) in Germany while I was in London and imported it and have all paperwork. Never driven (apart from delivery km) outside NZ. I'm in Kapiti on 027 966-2759
  21. I can do an almost new e46 M3 SMG knob (chrome/leather) without the plastic insert if anyone is interested?
  22. As long as poultry is still icy on the inside it will be fine and can be refrozen without a problem. Once thawed it has to be at an optimum temperature for any bacteria to double every 20 minutes. Even if chicken is full of bacteria it will still be fine to eat as long as it is cooked. Lot's of paranoia out there.

What have you done to the ride height of the car?
  24. I have looked at this over and over both months ago when it first appeared and now. I just can't imagine what was going on with that guys hands and feet.
