Yes I believe you are correct it's been a while but they are behind the glove box with some other relays. Aren't e39's charming with fuse boxes placed every haha. had a look on WDS diagrams F76 connector x10017 Starts with Fuse 113 80a Goes to Fuse 76 40a then onto out put stage, Final Stage Unit in the heater matrix F75 connector x10017 Starts at F113 80a runs to F75p 50a Fuse box 2 window defogger, A455, p is given as protection then runs to window heating control unit A411 not sure what F28 has to do with the heater as on the diagram it goes to the AGS trans control unit You are dealing with large current draws with those fuses and if one has blown something major would be wrong. Best bet is the fsu or hedge hog has failed the resistors in then give out over time with all the heating and cooling they do hope you get it sorted

Could I ask which fuses you checked because their are two I believe hidden above the main fuse box which have something to do with it also.

Their are many factors that can effect this what sort of gearing does it have compared to the sedan plus the extra weight it has and can be fitted in it??. The 2002 e39 530i I had used to return me 735-750k for a tank full of 95 mainly highway work if it was 98 a little more. The use of cruise control is ok on flat straight sections of road but any incline, hill work forget it turn it off. With the e60/61 did they really change much engine wise/ fuel economy?. The diesel option would fit right in with the extra torque which is what is needed and I don't see why they should be that much more expensive with the higher rego costs, RUC charges, possible extra maintenance cost (could be wrong on that one). What had you hoped for fuel wise?.

Sorry Jason it doesn't seem to work like that that calls for the use of common sense. The powers to be work in mystery's ways if it runs like normal you will have a nice new road and footpath for say two weeks then they will come and dig it up for one reason or another. i.e. road is re-sealed then come back two days later and re-set man hole, point survey covers and then repair some of the depressions go figure.

This is going to sound nuts but does your car have a resident spider, eight legged type. Had an incident where a spider had spun it's web over a sensor inside a car and every time it walked over the web it set the alarm off. Once the web was removed no more alarm for a couple of days until it walked over the re spun web.

Came across this hope it is of some help. http://www.gavandkel.co.uk/index.html Cheers.

Have a look on here http://www.bmw-planet.com/diagrams/release...38new/index.htm hit complete vehicle and find audio cd etc it may give you some idea of how large a can or worms you have opened plus how expensive that snip could be. Even the early sevens are not a vehicle you want to be poking and cutting wires on as I fear you are about to find out best of luck getting it sorted.

$130.25US is about $165.00NZ each then the shipping cost i.m.o opinion not cheap. Would check out local options and some other overseas outlets to see what price others are asking before purchasing. Someone may have a pair of good second hand ones close to home one never knows what is available until you ask.

The sensor is not included these are bare as per your photo.

Now now guys you are talking about a Hold-en together and no more!!!

So you have an Angle like figure on one shoulder and a red coloured guy with a pitch fork thing ee on the other each having turns in your head telling you stories . It sounds like it's back to your original plan which gives you peace of mind and will allow for progress to be made on the car without raising the stress levels to much family wise and on the wallet. Would be interested to heard what these enhancements are and do could you keep us posted as you go through them thanks.

"Thinking about upgrading your BMW and thinking about money don't go in the same sentence. Upgrade is $$$ then further maintenance over and above $$$ if you want to stick to a budget upgrading a BMW isn't for you." Andy's piece just about sums it up I have found out you do it for the experience and the love you have of the Idea and the money comes second. Things get misty when you think about it and start asking question then the doubt creeps in if this is the case then Do Not proceed as their will be that little voice in the back of your head saying told you so.
