allan replied to satellitej's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Have a look on the parts cat BMWfans.info or realoem.com but 316/ 318 front 286x22 rear 280 x22, 325 front 300 x 22 rear 294 x 19, 330 front 325, rear 320 as stated before with the 330 the trailing arms need to be used clearance over the wheels you are using may also be a factor. -

NZ new, 330i, Cabrio, Black, Auto, nine sets of number plates, EH92246, assembled July 2000. Not my cut of tea and over priced in my opinion.

The 5 series e39 has taken a large hit in price and good units can be had for a reasonable price look for the 2003 /04 models as they being near the end of the line had all the items as standard if the budget can stretch the e60's have dropped to. As for the suitablity of a 5'r re your description you will find it a bit heavy on the pocket IMO they are not a light vehicle and the v8 is some 80kgs heavier and they are built for the open highway. The 530/540 debate will always rage on it depends on you and what you want your situation for me presonnal I went 530 as it suited my situation and in over five years ownership it wasn't to bad of a vehicle. Best of luck in your search.

Would be interested in this http://www.trademe.c...n-666097389.htmalso as you do not need a lap top. As it appears you do with most of the others is that a + or - with scanners.
-
Will be very interested in the coding you have to get done.
-
No with experience gained from being their done that only wish to aid others so they can to with out the $$$$$ flying away.

If you are happy with the price so be it. Just that having owned a e39 530i for five and half years in that time you learn a few things about them which helps should you decided to purchase another.

Every thing is relevant when dealing with a car selling or buying. In this case the time frame up dates had taken place this one missed out now an extra cost. The e39 series have taken a serious hit in the price department so even this one has room to move on the price. Good on BMW NZ for buying it got them selfs a cheep company car irrelevant imo

Rego NZ 31 Mar 2003 but assembled May 2002 was aready ten months old before being registered plus it would have missed out on any upgrades they did to the model range in September.

Would tread carefully and do your home work on it. Was first rego NZ 15 feb 2010 you would need to know about it's history from previous owners Japan 2003 Assembled 10/2003 At 148,833k's if nothing has been done to the cooling, suspension, seats, trim, oil leaks, etc etc would be having a few $$$ put aside for maintenace work. Also it still has the early model amber side pieces in the headlights, side indicators and amber rear indicators. -
