Think I've got one (and a tape player should you need it!). Will check the shed tomorrow and let you know. You can have it $50 if I've still got it.

Saw a lot of them in Europe last year. Were they a financial flop or just a critical flop?

Because the chains and guides get worn over time, particularly if the tensioner is weak or fails.

Plastidip is horrible. It's rubberized paint so even the metallic stuff looks average. It's also not that tough, as soon as you get a small chip in the paint it will start to peel and you can't really touch it up effectively, you have to peel off the lot and start again. As others have said for similar money you can get strip and repaint your wheels properly. Edit: IMO

NEW DYNAVIN DVN-E39A D99+ version special

But presumably then you can't reset OBC functions such as consumption (after refuelling or for a particular journey) or timer/speed, etc. -
Not a fan of dark wheels even on a white car. I think shadow chrome on a silver car - two shades of silver/grey - would look odd. IMO you can't go wrong with a decent set of wheels properly refurbished and painted silver.

Any serial killer worth his salt will now be about to frame you since you've committed your plans to the worldwideweb.... And now I've incriminated myself. Double jeopardy. Damnit.

I'd just swap them for a couple of small bullet resonators.

E46 steptronic slipping? And now dropped a cylinder

Yep, sadly 'sealed for life' means the life of typical BMW ownership from new (so 3 years until the warranty runs out) - after that should be serviced regularly! -
Would be helpful if you could take a pic of your current exhaust system. Your car may not have a Y resonator, particularly if it already has a pair of resonators. It will only need ECU flash if your car has post cat sensors and even then, it may not need it (my 540i didn't). It will almost certainly have pre-cat sensors but post-cat's less common on older cars (my 1996 528i didn't have them but my 2000 540i does). Best vs cheapest option is to remove cats, keep resonator/s and switch the stock muffler with your new one.

You don't need them, all they do is regulate the sound. You might find that the sound in the cabin's pretty unpleasant without them though.

Yep, I agree with Josh. You can always close the valve if you want to be stealthy.

If you happen to get in accident, even if not your fault, your insurance would be void if you're running uncertified mods. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unlikely to ever go over 30kmh in HK. Never a good thing, particular for a hot running V8!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wrong M5, Mike. This one's Martin's. Definitely looking good though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep and most smaller ones are slip on with no locating lip so probably can't be certed anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure it needs to be programmed for the boot, since you can open the boot even when the battery is unplugged. Surely you can just get a normal keycutter to do it for $10? Presumably the new owner won't be trying to start his car with it.
-
You can get a leaf blower when you sell the E39.
-
Won't need wheel alignment but will need a cert (at around $500) or it won't pass a WOF. Certification info here - make sure whatever you fit can be certed.
