You need a higher offset for 5 series. ET40 is a 3 series offset. Others will chime in here but I think you need around ET25.

Hi Ed, welcome to Bimmersport. This particular car has been discussed before. More than once in fact. M325i's in superb condition can certainly fetch this price. A member's car recently sold for $15k, and others have sold for more. At the end of the day the member who is selling this car (who is also a Moderator), can put whatever price he likes on the car. As this is your first post, I realise you haven't been exposed to the numerous discussions on car prices on the forum. The dealer will be able to provide a warranty for you, just make sure you read the fineprint and double check all the important problem areas are covered under the policy and how much the excess is on claims. Good luck, these are great cars. They'll certainly leave your BA Falcon in the dust in terms of comfort, luxury and refinement!

^ Doesn't say anywhere on the site that those plates are legal. IIRC, in an old debate we had about plates, we found out they were simply buying these from GermanPlates and on selling them at a markup. No, what he's saying is that HID headlights were an option on E36 cars. If you can find a set of factory E36 HID projector lights, you can install them in your car. Installing HID ballasts and lamps in to your regular old E36 headlights is definitely illegal.

I'd say you'll ruin the auto tranny before you break traction and ruin the tyres!

Welcome Chris! I believe I've met you on a BMW Car Club drive to Hanmer a couple of years ago? I had the Boston Green E36 which I've since sold. Love your car too... needs a bigger powerplant though!
