    This is why!

Might want to make that a little clearer then... your post didn't mention anything about racetracks or "controlled conditions". Thanks.

    This is why!

So it's OK to break the law if you're not doing it on a busy street? That is just plain ignorant. There is no time and place for speeding or idiotic behaviour on public roads, but we've all done it and every time we do, we take our and others lives in to our own hands. I'm not saying this guy isn't an idiot, but quite a few posts in this thread have made good points about the fact that all of us here are essentially hypocrites and - out of sheer luck - don't currently have our picture on that article right now. We had a conversation about this at work yesterday. In France, if you get caught drink driving even just once you have your license revoked for LIFE, and you are chucked in jail. If penalties were harsher here, we'd definitely cut down on the amount of idiocy on our roads.
  3. ^ That's why it's been saved to my desktop for a few months! (Wanna sell me your 16's Jed?)
  4. Any modifications to your car need to be disclosed to your insurance company. Whether they increase your premium or even refuse to continue insuring you depends on the company. If your car is involved in an accident and found to be modified (and you haven't notified your insurer) it will void your insurance cover.
  5. ^ Hurr durr! I should know it's not a Tech I... I have a Tech I sitting in my room right now FFS!

    Heathens!
  7. ^Thats a FL coupe... just with Tech I spoiler. Wheels look to be 16's
  8. Calm down lads, it's just a pet peeve... Also, I'm not an arrogant driver, because I'm not actually doing anything illegal by parking in a parents space. And I would never hit someone's car without leaving a note. So there, I'm not all bad. And, FYI Martyyn, sorry to burst your bubble, but those parks aren't there for safety. The supermarket / mall doesn't give a stuff about your kids, it's to help them make more money, end of story. The more families they have shopping there the more money through their tills.
  9. Sorry, but I can't agree with the whole "Parent's only" parks. Ok, so yes it's difficult to get kids in and out of a car, but that doesn't mean you should get preferential treatment. It's not your choice to be disabled, but it is your choice to have kids, so you should put up with the inconveniences that come with having them. I park in parents only parks, and when people yell at me, I just say... "I am a parent, but the kids are at preschool right now, the shopping gets done much faster that way."
  10. What an awesome finish, that paint was really a mess! Not a bad price considering you'd have to buy the orbital polisher / pads / compounds etc and then all the time involved etc.

    e39 Xenons

This ^ Shouldn't have got a warrant in the first place with those lights... get the dealer to cough up for replacements.
  12. Welcome David, look forward to seeing you at a meet sometime soon! Is the colour of your E30 Platinum Green or a shade of silver?
  13. Painting kidney grille DIY here: DIY uses matte paint, but procedure for gloss is the same except you need to clearcoat the final product. OP: car looks good BTW.. I like the hyper silver BBS
  14. Is that one of the Frozen Gray M3s? Paint looks matte.

    My '85 318i coupe

Tech 2 wing makes it look like a WWI biplane. Swap that bad boy for a small rubber boot spoiler, sell Tech II and profit! Also don't like the painted b-pillars and door handles, but otherwise the colour looks great, I say keep it as stock as possible.
  16. - Steering like a bus - Spongy brake pedal - More rattles than a nursery - Every single one needs a complete suspension / bushing overhaul. - No room in footwell, need to have girls feet to drive one comfortably - Manual gearboxes more notchy than Simon's bedpost. - Tech I suspension makes every bump in the road feel like a major earthquake That's just a few off the top of my head.
  17. ^ That wasn't there before... But yes, I will buy a set of those please.
  18. "I" with plain blue on the other side and the bimmersport text top and bottom. Boom!
  19. Heel toe is always ball of foot on brake, heel/side of foot on accelerator. Just youtube some clips of race drivers to see how it's done. Don't know how you'd do it the other way unless you're double-jointed or something!
  20. Is it wrong that I hate all the lame patriotism of the NZ logo / silver fern? Where's the German plate replica option Otherwise I choose C without the "BS" lettering and a bigger M stripe logo.

    E28 E30 Photo Shoot

Nice shots bro... my favourite is the one with my car in focus. The subtle HDR is cool. Least fav is the one of yours with the tyre tread showing... big no no with car shots. Would've looked mint with the wheels facing the other way.
  22. Not a bad looking attempt at faking an M5. I wonder if the dual exhausts have been done properly, or if one set is just dummy pipes.
  23. Welcome to BS, looks like a very tidy SA325i! The Exhaust Temp indicator is normal in SA cars, although you usually see it as a warning light in the instrument cluster. And yes, the dial is a balance control for the speakers, but since you have a modern headunit installed this has probably been bypassed.

    Body Kit Advice

Hmmm... does look like it's a Pfeba. The image I posted earlier was labelled as a Zender which is why I got mixed up. Check the bootlid spoiler for a label Matt... That should tell you.
