I'm making the move to Roto-vegas for work... so I'm cleaning out the garage. All stuff is free, but I will certainly accept donations to my "Lager relief fund" for the bigger stuff. I'm not posting this stuff anywhere either. So come and get it. On the first shelf we have... - Working electric aerial. I think it's for an E30, but it's not the same as my broken pf/l one. - E36 pf/l kidney grilles - E36 rear ashtray, mechanism works. - E30 pedal rubbers in OK nick. I just realised how "Shady" this thread is... but I'll continue. 2nd shelf... - Leather conditioning wipes, kitten tyre black, Turtle wax black polish, Turtle Wax liquid claybar, Mothers Carnauba cleaner wax, RESERVED Boston green touchup paint, Infinity Reference 4012i 4 inch 2-way speakers Shelf 3: E36 handbrake mechanism, gaiter and handle. Europlate holderGONE Shelf 4, Wax Wizard orbital polisher/waxer. Not fast enough for polishing, but good for fast Mr Miyagi-style wax on, wax off. RESERVED Shelf 5 - E36 europlate holder, for standard front bumper only, not M-sport version. GONE The shelves are free too... come take 'em. Other stuff, E36 front bumper. Had just been resprayed Boston Green before I took it off. Comes with bumper trims too. GONE E36 nosepanel, stonechipped but straight GONE E30 pf/l front bumper. Painted crappily but nice and straight. Some trim there. RESERVED Haven't started on the house yet... will post more stuff here as I find it.

Not wanting to be a d*ck, but I smell something fishy. That's an American market 335i in your picture. You can tell by the front amber reflectors on the wheel arches, something Euro market cars don't have. So I'm picking the car is left hand drive... and because the 335i is not a "special interest vehicle" it can't be registered in New Zealand without being converted to RHD. And now your pic has myteriously disappeared... hmmm.

Your car looks pretty shiny. Is your sig pic from when you picked it up? ...in America?
-
That is member "lidistick" 's old car. Now drives an E39 touring. PM him if you like, but I don't know if he hangs around here much anymore though.
-
f**k $850 a month on cigs??!! That's more than 2 packs a day? Good luck mate, quit smoking and you're saving over 10 grand a year! That's a lot of cool sh*t for the car! Suck ice or chew normal gum when you feel like a smoke, will help with the "something to do" aspect of addiction.
-
Looks pretty minor. Just sand back to bare metal, prime it, and paint it. If it's hidden under a sideskirt, the quality of finish won't matter too much.
-
Widebody.... ewww. Shame, it was a nice car in the first few pics. But whatever floats your boat I guess.
-
^You can write "IM A PENIS" on it if you want to... they don't care. Might help if you use your actual plate number though... just so you don't get pulled over all the time.

Hi there Download this article, it will tell you all you need to know. Ultimate E39 guide

Link goes to a $60 ladies cut and colour treatment offer. Something you're not telling us Jason?

REPOST. And it's a Fox BTW, not a kangaroo.

So, the Brown sold for $860. Bought it 10 years ago for $1200... $340 depreciation over 10 years is pretty damn good, not many BMW's could top that!

Haha Glenn, I got given that book too. (Not for Father's day... just as a gift from the gf). Very interesting reading.
-
The diff has imploded in that car. Hope you didn't buy it sight unseen. j/k

OP: Please update your profile to include your first name, car model and location. This will make it easier for people to help you out. Cheers, Mark.

Can we see some pics of the actual items modelled on a car please? Want to buy... but not if they're fugly.
-
Not a new law. People have always been able to access your details, just now you're able to opt out of being listed. This is a repost too... so we'll close this thread and continue using the other one. E: (Simon) Repost of a repost no less

^^ Steady on fella No, it's not right for a cop to pull you from your vehicle over a traffic infringement. But with the number of idiots running from the cops and killing innocent people (especially in Chch) at the moment, I can see why the police are uptight and not taking chances. Linden, get a lawyer and plead your case, that's all you can do.

You were summoned to appear last Tuesday? What happened in court? Did you have a lawyer present?

Here's an idea... if you don't want to pay the prices commanded for E30's... don't. The demand for E30's means that good ones command higher prices and therefore crappier ones can command higher prices too. I mean, almost every new member that introduces themselves on the forums is "on the hunt for a manual E30"! The blue car for $8500 has obviously had a LOT of work done to it. And as Westy said, if you want to buy a cheaper one all power to you, but you'll be spending more than that doing all the neglected maintenance on it. I've put probably 4k into my car since I bought it, and I've probably got another 4 to go to make it perfect. Will I get $15k for it when I sell it?... nope, but I can always try.

HB Nick... so young... I remember those days... *sniff*. Have a good one mate!

Yep, New Zealand's issue with booze is that it has become the norm to get trashed and then brag about how drunk you got, and all the stupid sh*t you did while drunk. It's not just a youth problem either, I work with people ranging in age from 20 - 60 and they all have stories to share on Monday morning. (Not saying I'm a saint, I do too!) The problem is I'm not sure how to change that mentality, and right now neither does the Government. Smoking is gradually seen as becoming less and less "cool", perhaps a similar campaign against alcohol will yield a result? That's why the big topic of conversation in my industry at the moment (advertising) is when they will start to look at banning alcohol advertising like they did with cigarettes. It will be a major blow to our industry, but considering that all alcohol ads do is glamourise drinking then perhaps it is a good idea... "out of sight, out of mind"??
