1987 SA325i - Buy sight unseen from chap in Cambridge. - Take for inspection post-purchase - Find out that odo has been altered - Cam is worn and head needs rebuild - Rear shock mounts needed doing - Gearbox has slow leak - Bill is $3500 - Thermostat craps itself - Fuel pump craps itself - Two weeks later in-tank lifter pump craps itself - Fast forward to a few weeks back and diff needs rebuild - Rear subframe bushes are shot - Rear wheel has flatspot - Steering rack needs replacing before next WOF - Heater works intermittently - Starting to find rust here and there Still... it's the most fun car I've ever owned or driven. Don't regret the purchase at all.

You're doing the subframe bush / diff install yourself? I have to get mine sorted out at some point soon. (Probably LSD as well) I'd be keen to come help and observe to learn how difficult it is to do. How much were the bushes by the way?

Buy the best speakers you can afford. Amp is not so important. If you want good close-in listening have a look at some brands used for studio monitors in recording applications. Good ones will have a very flat response curve that accurately reproduces the audio source.

Just buy a different set of wheels. TRX metric tyres will sting you $500+ per wheel. Factory E34 wheels will fit with no modifications.

IMHO, I see where you're going but rest of the car is too clean to pull off rusty bonnet. Also, two number plates looks weird. What's the green stuff? Shoelaces?

I have a straight front bumper using up space in my garage... you can have it free if you want it, only prob is it has a covering of black paint on it. (could be sanded off and polished up).

Saw Atta pull in to Spagalimis Pizza in the V8 last night. Exhaust has an awesome burble to it. Was gonna yell out a hello, but you looked in a rush to shove pizza into your gob.
