What's the donor car? My brother is looking for an E30...
-
GL with the sale Kerry, it's a nice tidy example. Perhaps priced a little on the high side though? There's a glut of E36 M3's on Trademe at the moment... good ones listed at around $16k... you may have more luck at the magical $10k mark.

Yeah.. 6 series wheel. Would be quite large for an E30 cabin.
-
CC me in on that PM too pls.

Cool idea. And I guess if you screw it up you can just peel it off again! Have you had any quotes from signwriters for designing the stripes and replicating them?
-
Happy Birthday mate... go buy something for the Beemer!
-
Dunno... all the E36's I've driven haven't done that.... perhaps drive a bone stock one and see if it still happens?

That's not an AC Schnitzer kit. It's either a Zender or Kamei kit. In fact it may be a combination of the two! Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you with maintenance. Get it checked out professionally before you start hiffing $$$ at it. P.S: Can you please resize any future pics to 800x600. It saves bandwidth on the server. Cheers!

That's really looking good man! Paintwork is mint.

That's Hi-Tek's car no? Or did he sell?

This topic has been flogged to death numerous times. The corpse looks decidedly ragged now. Putting any plate on your car that is not issued by the NZTA is illegal. It is your own personal choice if you decide to flout the law. Topic closed.

Hey bro... need a few bits and pieces. I need: Air temp panel and associated buttons etc. Underdash panel (if it still has one) Do you need to keep the wheels on it? Could be keen for the bottleys to roll on while I get the RS's restored. Any tools in the toolkit? Probably some more stuff on my list of things on the garage wall!

Hi Lisa I suggest you spend a bit more time researching BMWs before you commit to a car based on what an obviously unknowledgable seller is telling you. There is no such car as a 318e, this must be a mistake on the registration. The car will be a 318i. the "/2" is probably referring to the fact that it is a 2 door coupe. These cars are used in the E30 racing series, but that shouldn't sway you to purchase the car in question. With regards to the AC Schnitzer comment: AC Schnitzer is an aftermarket tuning company who modify BMWs. If you post a picture of the car you're looking at buying someone will be able to tell you if it indeed has an AC Schnitzer kit on it. Good luck.

I had an E36 325i auto. Would still outpace my E30 325i manual. They're good cars in auto... just more fun and a lot quicker in manual form. You won't have any trouble overtaking in the auto, they go pretty good once you press the go pedal past the kickdown switch.

I have Firestone Firehawks on the E30 and they are shithouse. The thing slides quite easily in the dry and in the wet it's ludicrous. Unfortunately they've got plenty of meat left... stuck with them for a bit longer until I can afford to buy a decent set.

Dark blue E9 3.0CS outside work last night on Kilmore Street. Looked beautifully restored as well.

1983 Mazda 323 - owned by an old man who couldn't drive it any longer. Has survived an absolute thrashing from both me and my two younger brothers. 1988 Mitsubishi Galant. Was an import with the 4G63 engine in it. Not sure why everyone is bashing the mitsis in this thread, that car was very quick, comfortable and nothing ever went wrong with it. Still owned by one of my brothers. 1994 BMW 325i - was a beautiful car to drive, I would have kept it if I had had the money to do a manual conversion. 1987 BMW 325i - My current love. Needs some TLC, but I am a perfectionist.

Some photos I took of it here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....14&hl=318iS

FYI, there are only tiny tiny margins in iPhones. This is why appliance store chains always excludes them (and all Apple products) from special offers and finance deals. I have a company discount from Renaissance Ltd who wholesale Apple products to retailers. The discount is miniscule (often less than 5%) and they don't include iPhones in this discount. I guess it's the old adage... if something sound too good to be true... yada yada I sympathise with you though Jib... I hope you track them down. Give Target or Fair Go a call. They'll probably be very happy to help.
