You would have to check the side of the gearbox, Will be stamped with either a 260 or 240 number on the side of the bellhousing. Be hard to tell unless you can see, 260 generally has a much bigger bellhousing. It sold for ~5k initially then was flogged off for abit more quite quickly from what I saw..

Chassis wise should be the same as any other touring. IMO depending what engine/gbox is in it, 3.73 or 3.91 are a good compromise in diff ratios for Highway / City driving. Drone will probably be dependant on what exhaust system it's running, OEM exhaust won't drone. If it's had a muffler cut out with straight pipe, or a shitty rear box then definitely. Pretty sure this was on the BMW page a couple months back, some D Bag bought it and stripped the skirts and bits to flick off separately because it was sold cheap and sold for even more + bits missing. Good base though, Just need to sink some $$ in eh!

So tidy. I'd reckon solid mounts be abit rough in a daily?

^Touring's are different, due to weight they have the bigger front struts and sway bars in the rear, where as sedan/coupe only 325i's had them in the rear. Good luck finding leather interior! The rear seats are literally impossible to come by.

I have both in front of me, Z3 and Clubsport 3.0 racks. Deciding which one to use, Probably the Z3 one. I did some quick measurements as I read a few posts suggesting the turning circle is reduced, but LTL the inner steering rack comes out just as far on both Z3 and 3.0 racks. Anyone interested in more comparisons? I will probably be selling the 3.0 if anyone is interested, bought it from Ray a couple weeks back.

Bump. Ill be up in Auckland some time in the coming weeks, if anyone has some!

It's sold.

2 the most badass e30s in NZ right there!
-
Nah they are the same, just after a set which already have the 325i axles in them. I was after the entire rear end minus diff but I have a subframe now so just after the trailarm / axles.

How much of a pain is that going to be, waiting for the customs letter for your GST and fees ontop of the order. Some times takes over a week for the letter, then another day or two to process and deliver after paying and its released.

Genuine BBS RS, Gold centers. Staggered set, 8.5" front and 9.5" rear. 3inch lips on the rear, 2.5inch lips on the front 73mm bore. They are 4x114.3 redrilled to 4x100. Need to confirm offset, but I believe it is 10p front and rear. Pictures show fitment on an e30. Brand new lips Brand new black spiked bolts Brand new Falken ZE912 Tyres (205/45 fronts - 225/40 rears) Let me know if interested. Sell alot cheaper here considering no TM fees. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=873960902

It needs to match the car. Use a pre facelift one so the mounting points line up.

Shame you lost the sunroof, Good save though

Yeah the e34, That has been out there a while. Quite tidy for being parked outside all the time. Don't think I have seen either in a while though.
-
Why isn't this common knowledge ha, Every thread goes on about using e36 lower end with e30 upper end and a custom guibo. Makes my life easier
-
I used to see an e39 like that parked outside the Central park on the way up to Brooklyn. Doubt it's the same one being in CHCH but same colour and ACS wheels.. I swear it didn't move for 3 months parked on the side of the road.
-
Interesting, no issues with WOF having it that way? Lower end slips over the e36 rack and splines are the same ?

I'm doing this swap soon to my e30, Just wondering what everyone is using to make the new steering coupling? I can't find a good source online for Polyurethane tube / cylinder I can cut to length and drill as required to connect the e30 and e36 steering arms together. What has anyone who has done this used, and from where?
