Tidiest e30 I have seen in a long time.

Need help with size of rear spring pads.
e30ftw replied to JordanLee's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Nice e30! I picked up some spring pads of trademe, Urethane 8mm thick ones..They were listed down as universal fitting alot of other cars other than e30, Holdens etc but fit the e30 perfectly. Used it sandwiched with the OEM rubber ones to lift the rear on mine. $25 for a pair IIRC, Can't see them on there at the moment though. -
Selling my M52B28 DME MS41 - OEM m52b28 ECU with the following -7000rpm limit -EWS and the other ABS/ASC etc removed Plug and play for an m52b28 engine loom, great for engine swaps into anything really! I bought another spare and had it remapped to suit changes done to the motor so don't need my existing one any more $200 shipped, ONO.

Is that other wire a ground? Have you made sure all the loom grounds are grounded? That is super weird though, sounds like ECU is getting power from somewhere. Which wiring connector did you use / diagram.
-
It won't be. It's part of the m20 engine loom. The m52 loom is different and has it's own relays in various places. Fuel pump should prime when key is turned to ignition. Was the key at ignition when you connected battery?

There's a really easy way to do it on m50/m52 you can do the vanos in place, remove the piston from the vanos unit leaving it in the cam. Actually took me like just over an hour. Not sure if same method can be used on the dual vanos ones .. But it definitely makes a DIY well worth it when the vanos seals 60bucks shipped.

I'm pretty sure capacity is the same, But I remember I came across this when I was swapping pans. e36 dipstick is about an inch longer. I had to use the e36 one and fill oil until the top of the plastic read gauge as that was roughly where the e34 marks lined up from memory. As for what you have, might pay to check part number if they have one.. Or get an e34 one to be sure.

Sorted now but thanks anyway!

You can probably source from the dealer. I'll find the part number later.. I need new ones too.

Yes undo those bolts, and the bumper will slide out. There are plastic sliders on the sides which hold it in place.

Typical e30. They are all spongy like that. Why e36 booster though ?

I've been following his latest build on e30tech for years, slowest build ever. Interesting though, he has some crazy attention to detail and body work. Though the wide body kit is ugly as f*ck. Was a bad ass car to begin with, S52B32 Supercharged. Warning - Biiig thread. http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85601

Been a while since this was updated, So where it's at currently - Rebuilt VANOS, Biggest difference once that was done - US M3 S52 Cams - Sounds sweet full throttle! - Exhaust re-done in 2.5" with Magnaflow rear box, to complement the M50 mani / S52 cams. It's either gotten slightly quieter or I've gotten used to it, as at first it was alot louder than what I had but I think it's dam near perfect now. - E90 front drop hats, Since the M52 swap lifted the front a bit this has put it back down a tad. - Installed my loom covers I had lying around, tidy up the engine bay and wiring alot. Also experimented with some plasti-dipping this week for something a little different. Always wanted blacked out weaves so wanted to see how it would look like. Anyway some shite phone pics...

Stamped on head on the intake side near the middle.

Fastest way solo I found was to have the slave off the gearbox, hold it upside down. undo the bleed screw, push the rod right in, tighten it up then let the piston push back out. It will draw more fluid down through the system each time. You do it like 3 times and it starts gushing without bubbles, then you know your done.
