I went by the E30 Wiki from what I remember, http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Oil Also on our own forum stickied in the Maintenance forum here, (M20, E30) 1984-93 5w-40 325ix (M20, E30) 1985-93 5w-40 325i/is http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/27128-bmw-engine-oil-chart/ Back in the day I used 20w50 on m20b20 and M20 2.7, But yeah this stuff does not leak at all and since I did the oil change earlier in the year I have not had to top it up at all from the 4.5l I put in originally, however I keep the last 0.5l in my trunk just incase..

I use 5w40 synthetic. Forgot what brand though but it's in my boot. Quiet as for an m20.

The FPR is connected to the fuel rail on an m20, It's at the front end of the motor and easy to see. The other end is just a hose connecting directly to the fuel rail. Which end did you replace? Maybe someone added another in-line fuel filter or something.

Tried BNT, they referred me to the mechanic next door who was only able to grind the front face so that's all sorted, but I need the back shaved some to fit an m52. I think it needs about 3.5mm lathed down. Thanks for above, will give them a go tomorrow.

I have an m20 flywheel I need to have lightened, or some back side shaved atleast. Does anyone know any good places in Wellington, Or anywhere else I could send it to to have done that's not a rip off? Was looking around yesterday and got quoted $300+GST to only take the back side down to behind the ring gear and balancing etc, so only losing ~1kg (currently 8.4KG). I only want it down to about 7kg anyway or even a bit lower is fine, Willing to send it anywhere if it's cheaper

I notice one has the m50b25 intake on it, What are your thoughts on this Ray?
-
If it's OEM the leather boot is attached to the plastic "ring" which clips it into the center console. If it doesn't have one, it's either been ripped off or it's one of Ebay. Got pics?

Nice e30! IS Lip looks soo much better

Royalblue metallic.. Looks blue and goes purple / blue in the sun. Bad ass color had it on my last e30.

No you wouldn't be obliged if it hasn't hit reserve, You would be going around trademe. Unless he offers it as a fixed offer at the end to confirm actual price. How high are you going?
-
$150 shipped? Any takers?
-
so what do you want for the sunroof seal?
-
Is it the one piece full sunroof seal? Interested how much are you after
-
I would wait it out, That doesn't have much going for it apart from having an m50.. 3-3.5k max IMO.
-
Andy - DIdn't you have an m50 intake mani on your old e30 m52b28? Where are your references to all these tests you talk about? And wheres the Science behind all of it? I think it is generally accepted there is low end torque loss, but there is lots of info and positive feedback on e30zone (UK Forum, same spec engines) for doing this swap. Just curious.

Bump - Offer whatever reasonable, Can't be bothered listing on trademe but will if no interest here..

Does not appear to be one except the #12 one between pickup and pump.

They are in pretty good condition, I believe they were only a couple years old (2009) when I bought my e30 and have since upgraded to some Konis, $220 for the set shipped.

Anyone have a lower radiator mount, Like #3 below - I need to fit a wider radiator and have a not so wide NZ New style one with the long lower mount. Also need 4x bolts to bolt a gearbox to an engine, 2x M12x75 and 2x M12x50 I believe if anyone has some liying around.

IMO It is the same as throwing everything motorsport or extra option to any BMW, Alot of people do it. I don't think that justifies it bringing the plates and tags over. It's just a 540iA with extras, I just don't agree with the selling it off as a 540iS. Anyhow it is a nice tidy car
-
Um, Does this not mean that if you re-shell, the 'shell' that is used must retain its factory assigned VIN # ? So you can't just plate and tag it to be what the original car was..

Nah my fronts do, but the rears do not. They are like the above and according to Koni you must push them right in and it will click an adjuster gear to let you adjust by rotating once it is in the gear. They are adjustable they even say on the sticker.. Gave up on it. Like the top ones here - I have 80-2641 rears http://www.koni.com/car-racing/technology/adjustment/
