  1. That lip looks great.
  2. They all had xenons, pre-facelift and facelift.
  3. The two tone interior is quite a lot nicer in person. My uncle had an Imola red e39 m5 with two tone sports interior - black leather with red inserts. Yes, probably dated a little, but it kind of stepped it up from the rest of the e39 range and suits the character a little more.
  4. Nice, exact same spec as mine and almost the same production time. Very nice, Avus Blue is a cool colour, especially when clean.

Keep it, both cars look stunning.
  6. those Alpina rims. There is just something so good about an 80's and 90's BM with dish.

    Have a e36 325i for sale - http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/50400-for-sale-e36-325i-coupe/
  8. Yeah, funnily enough, the M5 didn't come with brake ducts from factory. At first I thought mine had not been replaced after a bumper respray but they weren't on the parts listing.
  9. Good examples are rare. I used mine daily for a while but it's become more of a weekend car. I now don't use it as much as it should be (I also get reminded of the space it's using in the garage a lot). I toy with selling it, but can't quite let go. Good luck with the sale, someone is going to be very happy with their purchase.
  10. Listed on Trade Me - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=779247779
  11. Cheers for the comments guys.
  12. I am hoping to find an enthusiast on here for my 1994 NZ new 325i coupe in Hellrot (Hell Red). I originally purchased 8 years ago with 49,000 km's and it has just reached 143,500km. Bought from Shelly BMW Wellington by it’s first owner, it has full service history from new and is in immaculate condition for it’s age. I would simply keep this however in recent months I no longer have garage space and it's being forced to live outside. Being NZ new, it is German assembled and has the ZF 5 speed auto along with the M50B25 Vanos engine - 141kw. 17 inch M3 wheels, no curb marks. Tyres replaced November 2013. Still plenty of tread left. A new factory radiator/expansion tank and an aluminium thermostat housing fitted 12 months ago as preventative maintenance. It does not use a drop of oil or water between services, runs exceptionally well, still feels tight and has plenty of life left. Exterior paint is in excellent condition, no fading, no dents with only small stone chips on the front in line with it's age. This car still has original paint and has not been in any accidents. The headlining is original and does not sag, door cards are still in factory original condition. There is minimal wear on the leather seats. Air-con blows cold. Non-smoking car. Features include, power steering, electric windows, sunroof, mirrors and seats. Tinted windows, dual zone climate, drivers airbag, ABS, remote central locking with factory immobiliser. Factory M-Sport suspension. $6500.00
  13. Hi Mick, I just tried coding the reverse gear gong on an 06 Z4. I could de-select it in the coding software, but it would still gong. Looked through a couple of other useful forums and the suggestion was to pull the wire from the speaker up under the drivers footwell. There are three different plugs going to into my speaker, I tried pulling each one seperately until the reversing gong went away. Worked a treat, still gongs for other warnings which is good.
  14. Hi all, I'm looking for a BMW Business CD head unit for a 2006 e85 with HiFi speaker system. There are two colours for the Z4, black or grey. Black needed please.
  15. I've known Jon and Keren since they opened their workshop in Berhampore. Keren is always extremely helpful and Jon's knowledge of anything BMW is stunning. He looks after my e36 and the M5. He was the first to correctly diagnose a fault with the M that others simply failed (but charged) to find. Always my first pick for maintenance and servicing in Wellington.
  16. I've had both an e36 (m50) and e46 (m52) with leaking rocker covers. Initially I hadn't noticed the e36 leaking until it began leaving oil marks on the driveway. It was very wet all over the sump. This happened with only 120k on the clock. They are quite easy to repair. I've noticed it begin to leak slightly again on the exhaust manifold... On the to do list.
  17. There's quite a good write up here: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=217994

    Benz E63 AMG

That's based on the last few fills, mixed driving with a trip up to Palmerston North and back a few weeks ago. OBC is currently reading 13.2 so it's not too inaccurate. On a long trip I will see under 10 l/100km if just cruise along with traffic. I don't generally drive slowly. Compared to my LR Discovery which averaged 20 L/100km towing the boat over summer (plus the fuel the boat gulps), the M sips fuel like a Prius.

    Benz E63 AMG

I'm average 12.9 litres/100km in the e39 M5... I must not be driving it hard enough.
  21. From memory, it has the rear M5 battery box in place and the standard M5 exhaust system. I was being nosey one day
  22. I park in that building too and cringe every time I see the way they placed the M5 badge on BLD551. It should be here:
