  1. Agreed, seems completely reasonable.
  2. Have both the n54 and n52. N52 is so much fun in the small roadster. Suits the car being naturally aspirated, nice sound too. I’ve replaced every single gasket on it at 65kms. But the n54 is so much nicer in the bigger car. I would take it over the N52 just for its character. It feels nicer than a V8 but the economy rocks compared. Reliability, meh, it’s a 10+ year old BMW. They all have their issues. Had the n54 for 5 years and never once had an issue.
  3. Are the boot struts difficult to re-gas or replace?
  4. I only came here for the noise ?
  5. Wonder what these would look like on the e92 ?
  6. Can someone buy it and remove the M badge on the grill please. Thanks

    E46 M3

Oh nice! Prefer it to the SMG?

    E46 M3

Did I miss the part where it went from SMG to manual?
  9. Loving the pre-facelift lights. They are much better at night to drive with than the facelift for some reason? KM’s are not high. Probably in line with normal use. Must stop looking... I don’t need a red to match the blue. I followed/stalked this a few weeks back and it is very original and straight.
  10. Tried a Z4? Little bit more modern with some newer safety features - DSC and multiple airbags. 3.0si is a lot of fun.
  11. Sorry if I’ve missed this in earlier threads. Why does the car have a new engine and gearbox?
  12. And yet 90% will believe it is an M5

I absolutely recommend Jon for anything e39 (and many other models to be honest). He was able to sort so many little issues with my old M5 when others just didn’t have the experience or want to diagnose. Glad you got rid of the shimmy!
  14. And the M5 is so much more fun ?
  15. Has to be the e39 M5 for me. Sold the first one and sulked until I found another.
  16. But top down with the 6 is part of its character.
  17. I quite like the BMW Mini’s but have heard they are more unreliable the VW’s... which would make them pretty bad! ?
  18. Boston, does this mean we can go car shopping?
  19. Agreed. I’ve nothing to hide when selling and always appreciate history and disclosure when purchasing but there’s always a whiff of knock em down on the question and answer page. “Have you had the flux capacitor serviced?”
  20. Good points made above. I’m on the fence regarding the Q & A section. I understand it’s purpose, but it’s not always used effectively. I always make the opportunity to contact the seller directly. If they can’t make their phone number available, I will email them. I don’t feel it’s wasting time. I generally get a good feel from the seller (or if I’m selling, from the buyer) through this approach as to how genuine they are.
