    BMW X4

Not bad. my mother will go for it. Then realise it has no boot space
  2. Looking to get hold of some nice E46 alloys and tyres, 17 inch pref, preference to Msport and the like. Lower price range, I hadn't been looking to do this initially

    RIP Cosmos

    Rest in peace mate
  4. That embroidery is filthy- we know it's a BMW, almost as bad as BMW/ model designation personalised plates
  5. Next model X5 being filmed down at the Squadron. German number plates etc. Looks nice, bit less brutish than current model
  6. My old 20VT S4's 'needed' the front removed as well. an inline, longitudinal engine with all cylinders in front of the front axle!
  7. Search this forum for BMW ASAP or BMW vin decoder... that will lead you to a how-to
  8. Did I make a rare sighting of Gus yesterday on constellation about 320pm?
  9. As far as I know it's correct. I remember in it's past life when it still had (painted over) original alpina stripes, boot spoiler and badging front and rear. There are people here who know more info.
  10. The car was originally a genuine Alpina C1 2.3.
  11. That was my mates dads car when I went to school when it was new! Numberplate was RANGI
  12. Hey isn't that Emmas old car? had some 17 or 18 inch wheels on it?
  13. I've had a few W124's and they have been the best cars I have ever owned. Much better than a 2001 W210 I had. They are technically very similar to the 190e so far as chassis goes. I havent owned a facelift 1993/4+ model with the wiring harness, perhaps just assume it is good? Problems I had were stretched simplex timing chain, cheap replacement, later duplex unaffected. The gear shift linkage bushes wear but are cheap/free. As any larger car, suspension wears. Rear carrier (trailing??) arm bushes wear causing a squeak and forward/aft play. Front strut mounts wear. Centre cabin vent adjustment can break making it hard to open/ shut off air flow. I cant think of anything else, they are wickedly solid and really nice to drive.
  14. Hey leave keri alone! haha. Down mums Dr alone there's a new S4, a new XJ, a new Gti, a Q7.... None of which i'm too keen on mind you. Back to theme of posts, yes stay BMW, second hand Audis can be a b*tch!
  15. I think I saw the wagon of original post today at the supermarket in Keri!
  16. Legally yep, danger to public safety
  17. Great car, I prefer the bright highlight of original silver wheels on any car over black. Black to me looks cheap and tasteless.
  18. Aaaactually upon reading a comment later than my last, a memory stirs of the 120i not being a practical car to 'zip' around in as you sort of wear it to an extent, with small glass areas and generally bad vision.
  19. Years ago mum had an auto 120i, yip the only problem was mystery fluid leak onto exhaust which BMW at the time were stumped by. Handled really well and used piss all petrol.

    NZ New E30

Are those photos of your car or your house? Haha. Great buy, I think we all had that on our watchlist! The seats aren't normal cloth, notice the sides are cloth too, and the cloth is more luxurious, harder wearing E34 cloth.

    HB Ollie

    Happy birthday dude
  22. Just putting it out there, I would like a Fiji green 'ltd edition' 318iS sedan, I like the colour. Give me a bell if anyone has one for sale. Nathan
  23. Mercedes used in certain E and S classes of the '90s a wiring loom with biodegradable insulation. It is O.K provided the climate is dry, as it is sealed from any rain. But the constant high humidity in that area got at it anyway, causing gremlins in the loom. Jaguar had something similar.
  24. Arent S classes made in China too? 'Shouldn't affect design or quality of a vehicle, spec's and customer demands/expectations affect that. The Chrysler I would buy for grunt , however point made, it shouldn't be compared to a roller. 760iL; I cant count how many problems we used to see on new E65s (some hilarious) years ago when I was at Jerry Clayton, I can even remember the number plates of some that came in they were such frequent visitors! Every car has it's issues.
  25. Where are they made? I have owned a few of the Mercedes' that the 300C is based on and loved the ride/drive so im sure the Chrysler is a good car to drive as well when fitted with a decent motor.
