I can only support these comments - this is a superb M5. I still miss mine - good luck with the sale Adas. Cheers Bruce

You can get Konis to fit either strut - some of the guys are racing with the smaller diameter.
-
Guess you will have to do it blind until I get there next year - have fun.
-
Good on ya Paul, you just want to thrash that little oil burner around the track don't you. Not going this year but hopefully next year when the project is finished.
-
I'll buy it Nath, send me a PM.Cheers
-
Hey Foxy - best check the pricing on Tardme

Catching up - I would have thought he had passed you!!! Happy birthday Gerald from the OWRCC!

Had a car shipped from CHCH by NZ Rail and it was fine. They used enclosed wagons so the car stays clean.

I had a 2002 facelift car, NZ new, two owners with 110,000km, full history and a very detailed report card. It burnt my wallet big time and not with any of the known issues mentioned here. It had a cracked cylinder head which i still have in the shed. I also replaced the air mass meter. They are a great car but get a full check done by your local BMW dealer.

Can you save me a set of each and bring them to Hampton Downs - will be COD?
-
Thanks everyone - see you at Icebreaker!
-
Good stuff - I can't help you with any of that so good luck!!!!

Whats happening with this one Dave?
-
Thanks Paul................The M5 was just brilliant at what it was designed for, going cross country, fast. I didn't enjoy driving it around town. The E39 was a great all rounder but was no match for the M5 on the open road. The better car?? E34M5!!!!

The 530i has better steering feel because it uses rack and pinion which the V8 can't use. My 530 was NZ new and had done 260KM in 5 years yet was still a brilliant car and the engine was just superb. I would have another one in a heartbeat.

You have to see this car to believe the condition it is in. It is a sister car to a Macau Blue one up this way. Both were converted to right hand drive in Rotorua. The current owner sold it to someone who spent a fortune on it then asked said current owner if he wanted to buy it back for the same money, so he did. If you press him he will throw in the original wheels as well. It is probably a little pricey for an EVO 11 but they are a rare beast so grab it while you can

Don't forget the gearbox too Jon. If it is a Euro spec box it will be dogleg first and if yank will be normal 5 speed overdrive pattern. Ray will confirm. My S14 waiting patiently to be used and abused

$12 to $15K for the 3.2 engine and i think around $3k for the gearboxes. Check with Ray at HellBM.

Count me in Darren.

Actually it has been a challenging week Dave - these people get on my wick with the way they advertise their cars. I guess he is having a tough week also because he told me to get f....d.
-
Have just told this dork to change his ad or I'll be emailing T'Me.
-
It definately has potential but i don't think it's worth more than a grand.

It's Rick Michels - he is a good bloke, just takes a while to respond to messages.

Thanks Foxy. I am sad to see this car back on the market for substantially more than I got for it - claims he needs the money for a business. Fair enough. If I didn't have the M3 in a million bits I'd be tempted to try and get it back but I guess one moves on. Graham - it is a great car and drives really well despite the kays. If you are going to see it then check the aircon is working properly. Ask to see receipts for recent (this year) work on the aircon as it needed servicing. I didn't get it done as the car wasn't being used. As Foxy said go and have a look and take it for a decent drive out in the country and you will get the idea.
