  1. The wholesalers are all closed at that time of the year so its not like they could sell him something. My tyre guys don't mind fitting tyre's for me, its cash and they don't actually make a hell of a lot on tyre's these days anyway and understand NZ wholesalers don't often have a good range of tyre's in stock. My guy actually said he would buy them from overseas too given my circumstance. I wouldn't turn down a box of beer and $80 in the back pocket over the holidays. If you get really stuck I have a mate with a tyre fitting machine and a hoist who may be keen to help out.
  2. Ah you are bringing them back. Best bet will be to find a place and book... you may want to grab a bottle of Johnny Walker to sweeten the deal on the way through duty free.
  3. While we are being nosy and digging up sh*t on strangers, I would like to know what the owner had for breakfast and what his missus looks like. Spotted the blue/silver M3 again that I thought was Tristan, turns out its a local and his plate is something short litigator. It used to be on a Merc SL AMG.
  4. I can look after your car and have it ready when you return, will even pick you up from the airport.
  5. Welcome, I'm sure you will find a few parts around here. Enjoy the car!
  6. Ok, thanks for those who replied, you should see the money in your account tomorrow... I will be out of the country on business for the next week or so. We have all brought second hands cars and parts and discovered they are not what we thought they would be soon after buying, you need to ask yourself if you paid a fair price for said goods and question if what you have been sold is of a safe and of reasonable quality. If you have been genuinely duped and the vendor is non responsive or is being unreasonable, I recommend contacting the commerce commission, if said vendor is running a business he will at-least have the chance to defend himself in front of a non bias. I hope both parties involved sort it out.

You could always just trade the 19" wheels on some 18" wheels, I'm sure there will be interest.
  8. I have big post count, you can trust me. I have $300,0000 in my Nigerian bank account because I am a on of a king, all I need is a Bimmersport forum member's bank account today so I can have the money transferred to your account. Please PM me your bank account log in password and info.
  9. That shut line on the bonnet looks funny. Personally I don't think 20k would be un-realistic for a mint NZ new E36 M3 Evo in Avus.

If you go track tyres 18" wheels and tyres will be cheaper in the long run.

Tis a choice looking car with the power to back it up.
  12. Na, these machines are crap and simple corrections on small area's can be done easy enough with a foam pad by hand, applying wax by hand is easy enough. But, a good machine is a useful tool and I would recommend one to any enthusiast, they do a consistent job that you cant match by hand.
  13. Good to meet you today. Nice car, like that colour!
  14. I run a similar KW competition kit in my rally car and can attest to how good these components are, their ability to soak up what you throw at them is phenomenal and they will transform your car. Also, you could daily them, I was shocked at how compliant mine are. Good luck with the sale, if I had a E46 M3 I would put an offer in on these without hesitation.
  15. You mean the Mothers Wax Attack machine? They are good for a light buff and wax. Not grunty enough to do a cut.
  16. Just needs to be random action and if you are a beginner its safer to use a soft pad and a low abrasive cut. I have used to top machines with professional pads and polish and it is very easy to stuff up, managed to take paint off on edges and left some ugly swirls.
  17. This is what I use, its nice and safe. Not sure if they are still available but they are a great entry level machine... would not bother with anything less. http://www.detaildepot.co.nz/159-meguiars-dual-action-g220-polisher.html
  18. Best entry level for the home enthusiast is the Meguires buffer, I have one and its great for the once or twice a year I polish my car.
  19. Na, put a rota in it bro. Bitchez love the pulse.
  20. Don't discount it on my rant, I am just a jaded car enthusiast and its not my scene, to some people its probably fantastic and if I was in Taupo I would still go and have a look. I think after a few years we will see better cars show up, popularity may grow, I think the lack of cashed up bogans in NZ is holding it back, we need to start mining.
