Have read it three times, first time quit for two years, then got into cigars, then cigarettes... book only works once, now its as simple as will power and getting the drug out of the system for three weeks. For me It is hard when socializing, I love having a drink and a smoke with my mates.
-
Turbo's in the back, that's crazy. Cool to see something like this in NZ!
-
Supplements only prolong the quitting, all you are doing is replacing one method of taking drugs with another, its like a heroin addict saying he is going to quite smoking it and then starts injecting it.
-
VW build quality What a joke. Spanish, German, English, French, its all sh*t after a few years.

I wonder what the Police will drive going forward, as it stands they are probably Holden New Zealands biggest customers, followed by rental car companies. You still see a fair whack of new Commodores on the road, its hard to believe they are in trouble really.

The 2.7HDI 407 is the one you want.

Good luck mate, have quit many times now... I am hopeless. Funny, I could tell you were a smoker just from your attitude on here... You will be amazed at just how relaxed you will be now that you no longer have to worry about when you can have you next drug fix. You will also enjoy having a clear throat and an extra few notes every week to spend on other crap you don't need. It takes three weeks of withdrawal for the sh*t to leave your system, it will be hard at this time of the year with work do's and Christmas and new years party's, especially if your mates are smokers.. you just need to prove you are the stronger man and refuse to smoke, it will drive them crazy, they like to see others are as weak as them to validate the drug addiction. Keep us updated.

For sure, its a disposable V8, that's gotta be fun while it lasts. Ha, na, it can happen to any brand of car, I have seen one year old Toyota's blow up , it was not my BMW (parents) and not my money so not so hard on me, I am still farting around with cars that cost way too money at times. It did teach me not to drive a car you can not afford to fix though, hence I prefer a new to three year old basic car with a warranty over a showy 3 or more year old flash car, I could be driving a 3 year old M3 or M5 or any other luxury car for that mater if I wanted but I know I could not afford to fix it when I blow it up. The fundamental problem with the car was its cooling system and the lack of local knowledge at the time, had the now readily available cooling system upgrades been available it would not have blown up a second time. Still, it was a massive design failure on the manufacturers part and totally unacceptable based on how much the cars cost new, you should be getting something engineered much better based on the cost of the cars new.
-
Ha, that's nothing bro, try and invoice for over $20,000 on a new block and rebuild when the cooling system failed on ours with less than 40,000km on it out of warranty in the late 90's... then try and and stomach the fact it happened again a few years later. POS. You could not pay me 2,700 to take one.

As you probably know, McLaren are battling it out with Porsche for the record, I would say they are playing poker on official times. Its amazing how fast the new cars are, these times are amazing, go back ten years and 8 min was fast, these days hatch backs are getting close to that.

I like the bit when its sideways and airborne and making angry vacuum cleaner noises at the same time. Was watching TV3 and Colin Giltrap said they had sold two or three in NZ.

Now with working link..

Noob. Thats Caswels E30, guy is a legend..

Agree its a shame. Like you say, people and more importantly companies who buy them have moved on. They were great cars a few years ago but are making less and less sense every year, gas prices are going up the competition is building lighter and more efficient cars that drive well for a lot cheaper. They needed to go to smaller body Commodore with a turbo 4 cylinder turbo and a diesel option, this would would have kept fleet sales up. Build quality is not bad either, they are very reliable cars.

Those disks look f**ked to me. When my brakes squeal its because they are crying for a good work out. Hire Ronan, watch chase seen, emulate in you car, profit.
-
Ha, we have 4.5 acres in the country/ranges if you get stuck, have been dog sitters before, even for bimmersport members.. I am sure they will get on with my large dogs... my boy is not fixed though. Also, we live in what I would describe as driving mecca, so it would be worth a drive.
-
Yup, I believe this is true with a lot of cars. Last of the E34's will be around a lot longer than the first of the E39's. We had one of the first batch of E39's back in day, was the most unreliable car I have ever known... I could have sworn it was built in England in the 70's.

Maybe come and stay for a couple of weeks in an Hotel and take some time to get a feel for different places, walking the dogs around will give you good feel. Obviously people are going to recommend what they know as best, you just need to get a feel for the culture and atmosphere of each area, some places that cost a fortune are not actually very nice at all. I think Wellington has a very cosmopolitan feel to it, well from the time I have stayed there, but its not a lot different from Auckland, you have your suburbs etc.
-
Yep, totally agree... makes even the E34 next to it look poo.
-
Beautiful car. Nice work on the purchase.
-
Quality. Anyone who races will know how big a difference a fresh set of tyres can make, even a year old set of tyres can be bad. Really sad that this has happened, especially on a public street, there is a time and a place.
-
So sexy. So Practical. Those seats. Yes, do want.
-
Yes, I remember them, went on a cruise with them way back. You would be lucky to get 140kw at the wheels TBH, best thing you could do is fit a 1/2JZGTE... or just buy a M3!
-
With a budget like that you will be fine. If my wife and I worked in Auckland I would probably lean toward Ellerslie or Kohimarama. TBH I would be happy in Mt Wellington, we have two large dogs and enjoy walking them around, there is an awesome dog park in Mt Wellington, there is also some great shopping places, Farro Fresh for food if you enjoy cooking..
