They are from all accounts one of the best all round performance tyres. I tried to get some for my car but Michelin NZ don't bring them in in my fitment. Quite common that a brand new tyre will feel better than your old worn out tyres though, they seem to go off at a point and you end up doing 5-10,000km on under performing tyres.

I have seen quite a few Jap imports in beggars spec with little more than a steering wheel, I remember when the E36 come out you could buy a version with full wind down windows and un painted bumpers at a low cost, its nothing new and gives people the opportunity to have a badge without the price tag. Makes sense as most people buy new BMW's for the badge anyhow.

With NAC too, well my race car is because State didn't like the idea of a roll cage being fitted, they have been quite good to deal with, a bit more expensive than state but very very relaxed and didn't give a sh*t about anything I told them when they were asking questions on my application, lots and lots of mods, very bad driving history, other convictions, no problems.. I'm quite sure I could have told them I was P dealer with no licence who cleans carpets on the side and they would have still given me insurance. I called up and said there was a chip in my windscreen and said I wanted it fixed, they said they cant do that and its $150.00 excess... so I told her that if I leave it may grow into a crack like I saw on a TV add and then when it needs a new one I will have to make a claim and then pay the $150 excess on a brand new $1,800 windscreen. Surely its more economical for them to pay the $50 repair? Either way they have been good. Still have state look after everything else. I have just been involved in a major accident so we shall see how they perform.

Isn’t rigging a house with camera’ and setting the scene ground for entrapment? Just saying? I have not watched it and refuse too, seems this is the quality TV we get these days, wanking carpet cleaners and a bunch of dumb fellas on the GC. Should be two things on TV, the news and 24/7 Topgear. Also, hire a f**king rug doctor next time you have to many drinks and vomit on the carpet. ** edited to stop any sh*t fights / complaints cheers hybrid

Its like the Burger King menu, it used to be a number 1,2,3,4, too many side's in the 012.

If there is anything I know now about owning odd ball European cars is that taking them to your average mechanic is a huge mistake and often ends up costing more than taking it to a specialist in the fist place, so many of them are negative and get all defensive and hateful on the brands simply because working on them is above their skill set. Try contacting the Fiat Car Club of Hamilton, they have a page on Facebook and are a good bunch, I have attended a few of their events and they are good people.

Better take them out and test they are 100%. Wet roundabout ahoy!

Oh. For some reason I thought the sedan and wagon being three series would be still badged M3 and the new 4 series couple would be a M4. Do you mean straight 6?? or is there a new V6 Twin Turbo?? Either way I want one, BMW could not build a bad M car.

SNZ invited Bimmersporters to 4th Annual Trackday - Itinerary pg5
Apex replied to tarrbaby's topic in Track Day Events
I have a headache even thinking about organizing something. We did it a few years and it was O.K. Much better rocking up to a "playday". Was keen more for a boozy weekend away TBH. I thought there was a Bimmersport day or three going on?? Would only have a couple of extra's myself if you did organize something. -
SNZ invited Bimmersporters to 4th Annual Trackday - Itinerary pg5
Apex replied to tarrbaby's topic in Track Day Events
Just spotted this tread, must have been a few Bimmersport days booked or mentioned or some shiz. Would have been keen azz and would have a few more cars to make up numbers, the day a couple of years back was epic fun and a great atmosphere, I gained like 3 Facebook friends after that weekend and still like some of their comments to this day. -
Stanceworks Style Video BMW M3 - Shot in Auckland
Apex replied to fred_'s topic in General Discussion
A video about parking in Auckland? They should show him having to pay $18 for two hours Reminds me of the beginning of this cool vid from a couple of years back, made me want one so bad. -
That M5 is nuts!! Good work, HELLBM D1NZ! haha

New three series touring looks very nice, lets hope they do a M3 variation and build my next car. I wonder where Mini got inspiration for the Cooper from? Looks really good.
-
The 320i's do. I believe this car is a 320i with a 2.5 engine fitted. In saying that the last 325i Touring I looked at had it under the bonnet too. There is a space in the back for the battery though. Looks like a good touring a fair price, these Tourings have really come out of the wood work the last few years, seems to be more about these days. Good luck with the sale.

+1. + Love the IS. There is a Silver one on there for lots of money. + Should be Fiji Green TBH.

Is yours fast Jack

Fook that's awesome. That is a R26.R, like the CSL of E46 M3's, that is a rare car even in Europe! More details!! Giz.

Renault Mégane RS Trophy sets FWD Nürburgring record
Apex replied to kinetik's topic in Other European Cars
For the Renault Fans... well me and one or two other guys around here Vs Cayman R. Half the price. Vs BZR, same cost. -
Thinking it would make a great Targa Modern 2WD class contender, you don't need an interior or concourse paint. Personally I wish I had of started with something like this for the Targa, the M3 Evo's are at the pointy end of the field and are very fast cars if your balls are big enough Thought this would have sold quite fast at that price, good luck with the sale.

Nice one. There is a rare non GTA three door with all the kit and that brown Italian leather interior that parks outside my office, it has a certain charm to it that only the Italians can do.
-
Its not the best car. Its the best selling car. Rental and lease deals make up the numbers, The "Luxury Tax" in Ausi is based on price not equipment, a 30,000 Korean car has more standard luxury features than a BMW 1M.

That'll polish out

I like the bit where they drive at high speeds on open public roads. Amazes me they can post it on YT and not get prosecuted.

Have been around Hampton downs with a guy in a white 1M with Black wheels, it looked fantastic. Do it Dylan! Just had my wheels on the Meggy painted Gloss black and it recon 20+HP easy.. looks faster anyway.
