    Quick rant thread.

When people list a 7k car and the excuse is "selling to buy first home". Where? Invercargill? Also, when people use the excuse "wife is making me sell it" . Be a man for f**k sake.

H&R NZ have staff to pay, a building to pay for, and you will find their buying power is weak vs US companies. Its commerce. Try KW suspension, they are compatible to US costings and a great product. A set of V3's would make it go around corners!

    Sunday drive

Doesn't seem to do anything! I bet it gives dogs the shits. Nice drive BTW. Were was our invites?? haha
  4. I like the 550i, cool cars. Nice property too. Spent yesterday in the Waikato looking at lifestyle blocks... some good value there.
  5. And an Edition 30 with a Remap = Mental. Drove one back in the day, went hard... but needed Perfohub and LSD, no chance of keeping with the best. All that power needs to be put down properly.
  6. Its not at all the same thing. Like saying a BMW 5 Series is essentially a Holden Commodore. The Golf GTI is a fine car, nice to drive etc. I think they are the consummate all rounder.
  7. Cool project. Was offered a mint NZ new Manual 328is the other day, old guy owns it up the road, I am considering it... if only it wasn't bright Red, that Green is nice. Its a PITA fro memory. You need to get a letter from a dealership describing/explaining/identifying what the car is. I had a Toyota Altezza badged as a Lexus IS200 once and it was registered as: Brand: Toyota Model: Lexus Thats it, not even Altezza or IS200.

    You would love Asia.
  9. TBH. I know a few people who had them as company cars (Coke) and they told me they are on a constant rotation with the dealership being fixed... they dealership's are generally very good though. I think 99% of people do not look after cars properly. Hence they sell so many Toyota's, you can run them into the ground.
  10. Meh, no one ever did anything awesome sticking to guidelines.
  11. Buy NZ new with FSH and you should be OK with the manual. Most a Jap imports. VASK is worth checking out, you will learn they are much like BMW's in the way you get what you pay for and preventive maintenance is the defence between a good car and a bad car. My only experience with one was as a traded in "courtesy car" from the Renault Dealership and it was not a nice car, the DSG kept going into limp mode and it was literally falling apart, this was a NZ new car with under 100,000km on it. was slow and dumb after what I am used too but would be an O.K daily driver. On that note, the RS Megane is way better to drive, but a little stiff for a daily use for some, and you may get hooked on how well they drive like I did and go crazy and turn into a road warrior with a warped sense of social perception..
  12. Who the heck is going to even notice them. Just fit them and cary on with your life. I would only ever bother certifying something obvious, like Coil Overs, and even then I would try and get a WOF without one, as my race car does.. the LVVC has so many holes in it its more a joke than anything else.

I have not found the women to be boring TBH... well after they have had a couple of Pinot Gris that is. I have no love for the Swift, drives like a 90's Japanese car, even had 90's Japanese Plastic interior. Still annoyed with my body, hips have arthritis and back has three torn and bulging disks... on the upside, Tremidol and Pinot Gris seems to be a good combination until the next morning when the pain kick back in.. Physiotherapist told me to stop doing things with women and then gives me a bunch of exercises that look like things I would be doing with women.. 10 sets for 10 seconds he reckons. haha
  14. Good effort. Was a small field. Are you doing the main event? I hear it's back to Auckland to Wellington. Should be a blast! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Im just factoring in that a few guys use the 135i as Targa/Race cars and could be after a spare set of wheels. And that to buy a set of aftermarket wheels of the same quality would cost considerably more. Worth going for as much as you can and working backwards. I sold my poxi Renault Clio 16" OEM wheels for $500.00, so something like this is surly worth a bit more.
  16. I would say ask over $800 TBH. Nice and rare wheels.

    Marmite

To be fair... there are a lot more basic ingredients in a 750i vs a Cherry.... Mellow Puff = Puff and Biscuits base covered in Chocolate. How much better could it get? And we are judging English food here, I mean, what have the English given the culinary world? I think your average Kiwi food is basically the same.. not a strong point of our nations.

    E39 Headlights

I fix mine own. You just need a few grades of sand paper and a cutting compound with a machine. Easy.

Oh yes. Some great Motorsport Engineering coming out of England.
  20. That guy is doing well for a 30 year old! I love the S-Class "starring assist" hack.

Im more surprised they still manufacture anything in the UK. My English mates are always on about Jaffa cakes, tried one, not convinced TBH. In terms of confectionary, the yanks have it down packed. Mathers Back Door in Mt Wellington is Sugar hear heaven. http://www.marthasbackyard.co.nz There is a good English shop in Pukekohe. They sell a lot of dodgy stuff. Have also see UK spec Marmite in select Supermarkets in the "speciality food" section.. so its not hard to get. http://www.bestofbritishfood.co.nz/news.php?id=edit517f93700629a
  22. Ha. That Audi is a serious piece of kit, great car to drive with all its mods. Proflex Suspension is awesome! That is a BMW from Targa.
  23. From 6,000GBP t0 20,000GBP. I would like to buy a 2002-2003 and spend upto 12,000GBP. Want all the face lift stuff.
