Makes for a great sleeper. Would like to go and confuse a few people with this car... just tell them its a 320i.

Sad. And why I would recommend a boring Mondeo over a 20 year old bling car to my friends with family's. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11458891&ref=NZH_FBpage As for crossing the yellow line, not sure what my thoughts are there, like anything we do when we drive, I think common sense goes a long way.. distractions when driving seem to be the number one cause of accidents IMHO, not speed, not alcohol. Also. I forgot there was a 4km over tolerance on the weekend and got stung at 114kph down a long wide downhill straight between Taupo and Rotorua. I know the cops have a job to do but I do think they should be allowed to show some discretion, I could tell the guy felt like a complete and utter chicken sh*t c**t when he was explaining it to me... poor guy. f**k that for a job, I couldn't sleep at night.

Yup. And real me prove their worth on the corners anyway.... and I can say that a 997 GT3 is about as fast as a 2WD car gets in the twisty stuff. TBH I just hate Golfs.
-
Would rather drive a slow Porsche than a fast Golf.

Thats a lot.. but if you had the parts around and a good panel beater mate it could have been O.K as a keeper. My mate looked at it and quoted the repair, did the numbers and accounted for the fact it was public knowledge that it was written off and figured it was not worth more than 5k. Well done to who bought it though, was a nicely optioned car.

Good to see there are still idiots out there keeping the RX7 name alive! I love the cops explanation for the behaviour.

Looks like a Nissan Patrol to me. Sounds like you mate broke the first rule of fight club.

It has just occurred to me that people who do the 2K cup are a lot like cross fitters.

MAAAAAAAADDD. RX4. Bet it can't even do a f**kin skid. Check out this 12 rotor motor.. they use them in boats apparently.

Is this the Dodge Viper powered E36 that I see around all the time in Takanini Hight's. That thing is a beastI Good luck with the sale of the plates. Would look good on a nice E39.

Nice one Neal. Its gotta be awesome. I have been doing what I do for 19 years this year and am about to quit for a change in career so your post is inspirational. I am sh*t scared to be honest... but excited I will be able to work with cars in some way.

Oh. I would never do that. Haha. Keen to have a look at the car though. Looks like a easy fix. Would buy to keep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have had a look. Its full of rust and there is a subwoofer in the pace tray.

Brent. He is all about that Bass, bout that Bass no Fecal.

True. Have seen a few cars in a yard that can't be registered. Nice cars. I'm keen to get myself a M3 to keep. There are still a few nice E30 M3's that are reasonably priced in Europe. That would be a keeper though. Was keen on a 2006 Clio 182 Trophy to hoon around Europe in, but it may not meet compliance in NZ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's just a ideas exercise. Would not be buying for us. Just looked at what is on the market and was surprised that we have comparable used prices in NZ. A lot of people have mentioned diesel wagons. Like the E60 535d Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's a fun exercise. Thanks for the input. I knew I would get some "outside the square" ideas. Haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I am off to Europe on a OE for a while, but will have money to buy a few cars with the hope of importing them to NZ and on selling at some point when I need too, investments if you like. What, in your opinion, should I be looking at? After a day on the internet, I have discovered there is next to no money in most mainstream models, M3's, RS4's etc.. And I would need to have a 10k profit buffer in each car to make it worth while. Looking at 997 911 Carrera S's in Manual, there seems to be a lack of them here but are quite popular in the UK. What else should I look at that could be sold here, perhaps cars we don't get or don't have a lot of. What sort of millage would turn people away? IE, over 100,000km seems to turn people off. Feedback appreciated.

I say give BMW some slack, the i8 is a work of art, and is a marvel. If we didn't have wild concepts, we wouldn't have wild cars. Personally, I like the CSL concept, the colour is bad though, reminds me of that colour they offered on the E46 M3.
-
Or this is my favourite concept of recent times.. and its functional.

I have had a decent run with agents. If you are in South Auckland I can recommend Dylan Turner and his team. Will be listing my place soon. Perfect for the car guys, can fit six cars in my main garage, then another six or so in my high stud workshop... comes with a brick and tile 1950's house so you will have sometime to crash.. if you don't fall asleep in the man cave situated next to the workshop.

Its well worth the $13 IMHO. Must say, Lightbox is good too, have been marathoning Seinfeld. You can have Lightbox free if you are with Spark.

Good if you have dogs though. Nothing like going around a roundabout sideways with dogs heads poking out each side.
