  1. Ok will do. Cards are definately the houndstooth you are looking for. Got some photos, will try and send them through.
  2. A lot of these cars are manual, they can have some very unusual option lists.Often they have quite low spec levels, but with a high-cost option as the one they were testing. For example saw one that had cloth seats, and no auto-wipers/lights but fitted with Professional Navigation Package..??
  3. Found a set of rears with the houndstooth cloth in the centre section. Have given them a quick wipe over, will post up pictures soon.
  4. It just means that the details of the Options added by the "individual" division aren't linked to the central vehicle database, nothing James Bond at all I'm afraid. There are quite a few of the 991 optioned vehicles in NZ, we are about the only RHD country that has open border controls.
  5. Any reason why you are looking at the 530i rather than a 530d or even a 535d? If it's main reason for buying is towing, the low down grunt of the diesel (and much better fuel consumption when towing) would make it a better option IMHO.

You can list more than one item in the same post Rich! Saves filling up the For Sale section.. If I were clever enough I could merge them together. You did manage to put up prices and pics for them all (which is more than most can manage) so fair play for that!!
  7. Nice burgundy pre-fl E30 rolling on Alpinas round Howick way. Cool black and white plates as well. Anyone on here? Seen a few times so it's a cool daily driver.
  8. I will attenpt to extract them from the garage. Not sure about rears.. Will double check those too.
  9. I have a very nice set. But not really interested in swaps, money talks.
  10. I'm very interested. Can you throw up a picture of the rear set-up, then I will PM you
  11. What are the rears? Springs and perches only or shocks as well?
  12. If it isn't showing the 7MA option code, then it is NOT a factory competition pack. Aren't there supposed to be two big "M" mode buttons on the steering wheel with the competition pack? Not the power/Dsc/VDC buttons shown in the photos.
  13. I have got a lot of the OBC parts, 13 button unit, computer, control stork, couple of looms, etc. Was thinking of putting it in the 'vert but could be tempted to sell for the right price..
  14. I bet you listen to that on the way to work! Cool track, but Bank Robber is better in my opinion.
  15. Nice photos, would be great with prices for the parts listed... ..pretty please. Love, Admin Xx
  16. Another long week-end and more crap driving on the roads. It seems Easter is the holiday that every sh*t box Mobile Home / ute / 4x4 decides to tow a clapped out trailer / boat / horse box up some of the biggest hills in the country. If your piece of crap can't manage the speed limit on a flat, straight highway then it shouldn't be on the road full stop.
  17. Both those sites only show the options list for the VIN. That is the list of equipment added on top of the FACTORY standard spec. So they are not complete build lists for your car as they may well be missing some equipment. For example as my 'vert is a 325i it came with SA481 Sports Seats and SA22? ABS braking as factory standard, so neither of those show on these lists, but are on the full build sheet. I don't know of anywhere on line which gives the build sheet, but it is usually under the rear seat...
  18. A point to note: that is the official importers, ie BMW NZ, M-Benz, NZ, European Motor Distributors, etc. NOT the smaller independent "used" car importers. So check closely with those guys when they offer "new" vehicles for sale!
  19. Always good to see another E30 saved and resurrected!! Great work (as always) Ray & HellBM
  20. Losing pressure in the rear tyres not so bad, although can't comment on a scooter, they're just following the fronts most of the time. Fronts are a whole different ball game..
  21. Bugger.. Drove down to Napier yesterday. Will be coming back down in a couple of weeks if that works? Postage would be a killer and likely to get damaged due to size and shape.
  22. Hindsight is a wonderful thing... I have seen the classic car market go through about three boom and bust cycles in just my lifetime. E30 M3s should be driven, not stored up to appreciate. Garage queens are just about acceptable. Prices won't be going down any time soon though, need another GFC and some fire sales.
  23. Probably for the same reason that owners were warned not to use the Michelins if there was even the chance of rain in the UK, (which let's face it is 99% of the time), they are pretty much a race slick and dangerous with any moisture.
  24. I have got regulators, where are you based?
