  1. Of those I think three were Cabrios and one was a CSL. Quite a few were 2004 builds, but registered in 2005. A pretty rare beast indeed.
  2. Big week-end and week nights and the end is in sight with the convertible. List of jobs ticked off: Rear shocks and springs replaced with Koni / Kings from race car (old springs not captive on last WoF, after 14 years of being ok) Front tie rod ends done both sides Front struts stripped and re-freshed springs swapped for race series Kings Exhaust secondaries replaced with non-holey set and re-installed with new nuts bolts gaskets and brackets Muffler patched up and painted ready to go back on. New plugs, dizzy cap and rotor fitted. Lots of old oil & dirt cleaned off the bottom of the gearbox and engine to see where oil is leaking from. Left to do: Refit back-end of exhaust with new nuts bolts and brackets. In for WoF check Wheel alignment Then if all good will crack on with a few more cosmetic clean-up / touch up type jobs. Hoping to get some good summer cruising in this year!
  3. Which version of M235i, the old model Coupe or the current model Gran Coupe?
  4. Nothing close to what’s in the photo sorry mate. Have you tried a google of the BMW part number to see if Siemens still have it under their part number?
  5. Another Instagram account worth a follow if you like the older cars.
  6. Good points. Although it is a bit hard to pin-point the time period in NZ from that particular attire - good old Kiwi bloke in T-shirt, jeans shorts and no shoes - could be any time from 1970 - date.. The cars are a bit more telling, and I did miss that they are facelift E30s which would make it a bit later in time.
  7. So it has been reported in various news channels that as part of the latest world summit thingy, COP26 (?), or whatever they called it, that NZ has signed up to a complete ban of all sales of new Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles by 2040. I haven't seen an official announcement of this from the Government PR people, but it has apparently come from a "Government Official" so could have some weight to it. I wonder how much longer after that there would be a complete ban on the use of ICE vehicles??
  8. Interesting, any idea what the event was..? Looks like it could be the launch of the E30 3-Series from the cars on display and in the car park..
  9. I might have one in my bag of relays, I’ll have a look through for you.
  10. Ahh the joys of selling to the masses on TardMe.
  11. On drugs because too low, or too high? Personally I would say it would be above that range, unless it’s an undesirable colour or interior. More details on spec / history and photos would be good.
  12. It would be a reasonable motor to put in an E46 GTR replica, and certainly in keeping with the original concept. Plus a lot cheaper than P60 motor. Are you thinking of a road car or race car for this replica..?
  13. Trying to cash into the die hards that won’t give up on manuals. Even though it would be slower 0-100 and less economical as a manual… And yep it’s a pretty weird spec, no M Sport kit and old man beige interior so a real odd ball combination. Some UK dealer probably had to cut it loose and it ended up here.
  14. Who is this seller??, I need to meet him and find out what other goodies he has, very tempted by some of those wheels..
  15. @M3AN I think your inbox is full, trying to message you.
  16. I think you have added an extra “s” on to the end of the name, the oil is not linked to the Aussie racing series of a similar name AFAIK.
  17. At least it has got a cert so can get a proper WoF, which is much more than many hori-fied E30s that come up for sale at silly prices. Again, it’s got little problems which can be easy fixed with a little time and little $$s, then sold with a new WoF to justify the price. Seems very odd to me.
  18. Doesn’t say if the camera is still included, could be a nice money making scheme for someone if it is…-
  19. Yeah, that’s what it looks like to me. It’s really only shill bidding if there is someone else that is counter bidding, and therefore having their bid pushed up.
  20. Yeah, with total borrowing of 195k against them, and then the GFC hit and they were a 150k house with a 25k car and 194k owing against them... whoops! At least if you spend the money on an E30 you know it's a solid investment right...?? Every time I get caught bringing more parts into the house I always justify it by saying they are an investment in precious metals... especially the E30 M3 bits.
  21. Simple, re-mortgage the house to utilise the increased equity and spend that on an E30..!! Reminds me of the early ‘00s in the UK when lots of people were doing that to buy new cars, great investment - not!!
  22. I've just re-read the first post on this thread, from all the way back in July 2019, a whole two years and three months ago, where @Blackie had linked it for a new member. A FL manual 325i coupe with M-Tech bodykit (can't remember if a genuine M325i) for a whopping $15k. If one were listed for that price now then the seller would get trampled in the rush of buyers. Market price would be near double that now I would suggest, (or waaaay above if was an M325i) pretty good returns for anyone that bought an E30 as an investment back then. Conflicted views on that as I'm not keen on "our" cars being turned into investment items that drive the enthusiasts out of the market, but on the other hand makes mine worth more - not that I would ever sell them.
  23. Tidy, 325i ‘vert at Eastern Beach Sunday arvo. I didn’t notice the young lady in the drivers seat until after the photo. If you’re on here - sorry if I seemed a bit stalky! 🤦🏻
