    Quick Questions

Mine (N52B30) throws O2 sensor errors when I put sh*t gas in it, even 96 (have had to twice, gas light on, middle of nowhere... still feel bad about it :( ), once it meets its internal emission cycle stuff, and sitting at 100 in 6th "lean burning" it'll throw the code for various O2 sensors. May have something to do with always running it on 98, and reseting the adaptations whilst on 98.
  2. I can bring it on the 8th if that suits (have no pm)
  3. http://www.acromann.com/ however the process was hilarious, I logged in and ordered, then got a confirmation email and all the personal details of some poor guy in Italy, and the details of his Ducati sticker order. So I logged out, and logged back in again and got the personal account of a guy in Germany ordering Porsche windscreen banners. Few emails back and forth with the acromann guy and the right thing did turn up, took a few weeks though (from HK) If you can find somewhere else to get them, Id try that first.
  4. Some truth bombs dropped. Shitty compact SUVs, screens for africa.
  5. 83k You would have to be a real back to the future fanboi to drop that on one.
  6. Bump... no one wants near new OEM rotors for free?
  7. The waterpump? When it starts throwing errors. They normally cough out a few spurious errors before dying. Mine did 230,000km before throwing an intermittent canbus coms error. Some die at 40,000km, some at 300,000. The motor is brushless, the whole thing is cooled and lubed by the coolant itself (wet rotor), so provided coolant is regularly changed they dont really wear as such.. (and its not swimming in green supercheap crap) its more likely heat cycles on the speedcontroller FETs etc that kill em.
  8. I read all this, and saw no "Epstein didnt kill himself" in this whole thread, I am disappointed.
  9. Anything but an Aston Vulcan or Ferrari FXX makes you a dirty peasant who shouldnt be able to race.
  10. Yeah no worries, I dont know if the app will do things like enabling retrofitted bluetooth, thats more of NCS Dummy/Expert thing, but it may do it? The apps on my phone/tablet, but it only takes a few mins so shoot around whenever suits and your welcome to see what it can do.
  11. Ive got one, the app is the expensive bit though, but if you want to plug it in and code something yell out.
  12. I saw them the other day in garage, and thought... hmmm... Flick me a PM and will get you addy.
  13. FCP Euro the whole kit, with fluid and thermostat and bolts (Pierburg is solid). Cant go wrong, its not a difficult job either. It wouldnt be a bad idea to replace the plastic fitting next to the oil cooler with an ali one while you're there, Ive seen a bunch breaking recently and you want to do it with the cooling system drained. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-aluminum-coolant-hose-flange-rein-chc0609
  14. Anyone found a nice fix for the rubberised paint on interior bits peeling off? Plastidip? Or is there anything more suited to fixing it
  15. Just do it yourself, the Sonax CC36 stuff above is legit, and not the same as the generic ceramic you see everywhere. Its two stage, gives epic shine (more than a wax) and car was still beading 6 months later. The rest of the ceramic marketing talk is nonsense, totally agree. Go get a DA, some bug/tar remover, a couple of pads and decent compound, crank the stereo up and spend a weekend, save yaself $1300 Watching a few videos and getting a feel for the DA, and you cant go wrong (short of being a bellend and sitting in one spot with it cranked up to 11) Ceramic is no more work than doing a decent wax, sans the prep, the actual process of applying/removing takes way less elbow grease than a paste wax.
  16. Figured out why my windscreen washer stopped working. Soaked in WD40, knocked all the lumps of rot out, and it lives again At least until parts turn up to replace it.
  17. Front rotors are the same as 6 pot E9x, and X1s. Front Calipers same as 4 pot E9x Rear calipers/rotors are the same as a swag of E9x and the mighty Zinoro M12 I dont care what you bolt them on, as long as its not my garage carpet like how they are currently installed
  18. Not to sure sorry, I suspect the fronts at least are bolt on, but there are differences between the 4 pots and 6pots wheel speed sensors. Will need to check realoem to work out what is what.
