What guibo did you use for the manual conversion? From memory the manual and auto guibo's are of different lengths and are not interchangeable
-
Only e30's that come original with a battery in boot have the grounding bracket. To convert mine i bought a short battery earth cable and bolted it to a secure point in the battery well.

I'm gonna use this mounting bracket that replaces the ashtray. It comes in oem vinyl leather, so coupled with the vdo gauges will look every bit original. http://www.parkerperformance.com/store_pro...p?item=M000113L oil press, oil temp, water temp. If you wanna spend a bit more you can get gauges that feature a low pressure warning. Will post pictures once I've got mine in.

Repo auctions are at Turners. Any moolah over the amount owing goes to the ex-owner.

You'll probably have to swap the entire loom and ecu aswell. I'm pretty sure the crank angle sensor is located differently, but there may also be another way around this. Have you thought of mixing & matching? I hear you can get more power using the PFL head on a FL short block, but don't quote me on this. Have a search on e30tech.com/forums or r3vlimited.com, they both have a wealth of information.

Just use a can or two of brake clean/degreaser, wash that sh*t off with low pressure hose end. Obviously cover all electrical plugs/fuses that might get wet in the process.

Help with front rotor replacement E39
Andre3000 replied to rusdvl's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Lever with a pry bar from behind the rotor, CRC freeze penetrate, or a trusty blow torch, or a combination of the three if really tough. Put some copper anti-seize behind the new ones once you've got em off. -
I've been looking at getting a trio of VDO gauges for my e30, but can't seem to find any NZ suppliers. Does anyone know of a retailer in NZ, hopefully Auckland? Otherwise http://www.egauges.com/ seems to be the place to go for them.

MAF conversion is one of the best bang for buck imo. Couple with a set of wayneys headers and you will be very impressed!
-
And its gone to Will aka dubman.

I have no use for it and its in average condition but still aesthetically mint. Clip is the upper plastic which holds it to the gear knob, does not include bottom plastic mount. If you want to pickup I live in Auckland, otherwise you can pay shipping to elsewhere in NZ. edit: FF = free

Added to wish list, did not know these existed. Macao blue is new favourite e30 colour. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-510591801.htm

any chance of flicking details through to [email protected]? Am in the market for a e21 project.

Socket in glovebox is for a little rechargable BMW torch!

Looks impressive. Autoclutch sure know their sh*t! Not like those tossers in Wairau valley (won't name). I'd recommend using a hydro release bearing with the dual diaphragm. No fork setup can compare IMO. Dynamic Raceparts is the go-to for them, not sure if Peter is still around though, but awesome customer service! http://www.dynamicraceparts.com/

Is there a reason why you didn't run the m20 jammers? Just want to know incase im putting useless remote controllers on the front of my fuzz magnet. I would assume that as they are an older gen the newer ones would have more features, but does this mean theyre less effective?

Very sharp price! GLWS

I have two facelift radiators. Reside in greenlane. Pm me for contact details.

If these are the Blinder m20 X-treme I'm keen to take them off your hands. Cheers edit: whereabouts are you located?
-
I'll take the calipers. Will txt you early next week to arrange viewing/pickup? edit: just saw this was from a few months ago. Do you still have them?
-
He's already splurged on a escort redline and jammers :S Should be one uncatchable 748r.
-
Is anyone aware if the e30 medium case fits an e36? Is it just a case of swapping the rear cover?
-
Hydro release bearing's are worth it Auto-clutch up here in AKL were very helpful for me, reasonably priced too. Give em a buzz and tell them how much power you're hoping to make etc they will sort you out. 09 849 3737

Passed onto my bro, he's in the market for one.

I'm a fan on Sony Ericsson's, had a X10i and a St18i, both awsome handsets and reliable warranty cover when i broke them :S. Better camera's and screen quality than most iphone/androids on the market. I'm about to buy my third, a Sony Xperia S (Sony has recently bought out Sony Ericsson), we have a Bravia at home so I'm excited to see how it will integrate. IMO Windows phones suck arse. Go with a quality android with dual core at least and you will be very happy, unless you are an apple whore then I don't think paying $1200 for a handset is reasonable. If i didn't have a personal vendetta against Samsung i would probably have an S2 as they are great handsets. Check this site if you want genuine items at wholesale prices: http://www.gimmedigi.com/
