Good deals for e36 OEM Brake Replace
Andre3000 replied to Andre3000's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Cheers for your assistance fellas. +1 for RACEBRAKES! Very helpful bunch of guys and good rates. As I realised that the fronts were the solid disc I decided to upgrade aswell as replacing. Ended up picking up the larger e36 calipers off Brent and going with ventilated slotted front rotors and oem rears with oem compound pads. Should make a huge difference to the wobble in my wheel. Will do a write up with pictures in my Calypso wagon project thread. -
Pm brent on here hes got a wide array of msport bumpers/mouldings.

Hi guys, I need to replace all my rotors and probably my pads at the same time. Is anyone aware of a good deal for an oem brake replacement combo? BMWorkshop have quoted many $$$, and I can't seem to find any oem suppliers in Auckland or Trademe. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-4191-com...-318325328.aspx If anyone can do better than this ^, please let me know, as my rotors could almost be used as soup bowls in their current condition.

How about my mapecu2 unit which is custom fuel mappable and enables you to eliminate the afm (internal map sensor in mapecu). Has been running both my motronic ecus (1.1 & 1.3).

I'm importing a set of bilstein sports and H&R springs from the states thats only costing me 1340NZD all up including shipping. Thats almost the same as a set of monroes ($1000) off trademe for the same vehicle. Look around online; Ireland engineering & Turner Msport are good for e30 parts. Ask for priority shipping and its actually pretty reasonable. If you buy the good stuff you will appreciate the ride and the fact you wont have to replace them on a biannual basis. -

The cheapest your going to find those springs be it race, sport, or cup, is going to be on the Turner Motorsport website or similar American websites. The exchange rate is good right now, that my excuse anyway...

Pretty sure a revalved shock will be as new, unless the techy has done a shite job. Never had it done before pickup the yellow pages. http://www.shockshop.co.nz/SL_Index.asp#

For the front springs on my e30 i cut the original spring perch off and welded threaded sleeves onto the strut, so as to create a coilover mounting setup. Can take some pics if you want? The advantages of this are any ride height you require within reason. Get an engineering shop to do it and itd cost you no more than 200 for both struts, springs were 80 ea. So 360max for a full front coilover. Edit: there is no way to coilover the rear without modification and extensive strengthening. Also if you have an m325 they have bilsteins standard, have you considered rebuilding? Would be even cheaper than importing.
