  1. gone are the days of simple bmw model designations E21 > E30 > E36 > E46 > E90/91/92/93 > F30/31/32/33
  2. So when we bought the E91 the PO had removed the 325i badge and left horrible scratch marks everywhere. I had no choice but to get the guys @ OCD to sort it out. Photos speak for themselves of the wonderful results!

    316ti Race Car

wow genuine acs type 3s for $250?
  12. from what you said 'fitted with a msport kit' im guessing its just a standard spec with the bodykit? the ride height looks a bit high for a msport haha maybe needs some msport springs? stiffen it up a bit
  13. nothing wrong with a ti, i had one as a run about and it was great except the gearbox in mine was rubbish but otherwise its a neat little daily driver that still gives you the feeling of a bmw.
  14. i think if you bought it as a run about, keep it at that. once you start tinkering with it, it will never end, and by the time you're done with the suspension and $800 later, you might want/need to do the cooling system, then you might suddenly feel like repowering it, then msport interior-ing it, blah blah. if it drives, just get a wheel alignment and check oil levels. meh
  15. what kind of suspension are you running in your wifes red e46? maybe they have been replaced at some stage? style 68 rears should have no problem on that car, msport or not.
  16. can i suggest tidying up that front plate with just a bit of black paint (over the scratched up Y) and possibly custom make some decals in black or something to stick over the blue NZ and fern sides? the blue doesnt go well with the clean silver and chrome theme IMO. pretty pedantic but hey, you seem to be running low on ideas so why not??
  17. I have the same wheels as these off my E46 and they dont work so great on my E91 wagon. I think its going to need some work with spacers at least and longer bolts etc etc
  18. I think its a great price. a few hundred dollars isnt important when you find a car like this. you just have to have it. am i right or am i right?
  19. i got quoted $250 incl GST for an E46 (diamond) key from "thecarkeydoctor" guys. I think its probably the best quote Ive had so far so will probably go for it soon.
  20. Hi all My dad wants to DIY his own towbar and wiring on the E91. He showed me this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/parts-other-makes/electrics/auction-990792652.htm and found a guide to do it as well My question is: will this cause any problems for the car/malfunction etc? also, how about in the event of an accident, will insurance (AA insurance) have a problem with it and refuse to pay out? any advice or help appreciated. This is obviously going to be a lot cheaper than forking out $1-2k or whatever it costs for some 'professional' place to do it for you.
  21. i rekon it sold for $15 more than it should have....
