  1. ^thats not really correct, by bidding or accepting a fixed price offer or clicking buy now, you are entering an agreement to purchase at the said price, not buying the right to contact the seller. If it was, then there would be no reason to have prices for things except an indication of expected value. You wouldnt click buy now for something $500 and then email the guy saying yea ill give u $450. thats not how it works. no idea what you're saying in the second half of what you wrote, sorry jared anyway, im just gonna reply the guy saying what kind of price he wants for it and see if we can agree on a price. its not like im gonna take this to the disputes tribunal or anything like that. as andy said, ethics comes into play and i also believe in some sort of karma, what goes around comes around. so yeap thought it was quite funny anyway
  2. they guy just emailed me first (i didnt make any contact yet) and said it was his mistake and he will be contacting trademe. lol.. i dont want to be a d*ck or anything about it but afaik i can actually (legally) buy this for a dollar right? hahaha still cant stop laughing about it. too funny.. not so much for him...
  3. um.. i just clicked buy now on something from trademe it was listed for $1 reserve and stated in the ad but seller has accidentally put $1 buy now on it as well so i thought what the heck and clicked it. (i dont actually mind paying the proper value for it) i remember a story back few years ago about a dealer who put a bmw for sale as $1 reserver but accidentally put $1 buy now also and so the person who clicked it actually picked it up for a dollar. so whats the rule regarding this? would be hilarious if i do get it for a dollar but i wouldnt be suprised if the seller doesnt even get in contact lol..
  4. Nice car and good to meet u today

    ill just put this here..
  6. spotted a red e34 m5 near ponsonby/k road around lunchtime. very nimble looking.. ha ha ha
  7. i know some purists and probably most will disagree but i dont really see a HUGE difference. its not like bmw makes the m5 shell any different to the standard e39 unlike a e46 with the pumped guards etc. yes, it will be harder to on sell later on but essentially you're getting still an m5 for less than what a 'real' m5 costs. i dont think theres anything wrong with that if you are planning to drive it and enjoy it, it will still feel the same.
  8. nothing to do with what car they drive at the end of the day its the individual, in this case 2 idiots. but the numberplate "BOSSIN" its pretty funny haha edit its actually BOS5IN haha i just feel bad for the white mercedes who got smashed into for no reason and the innocent bystanders who tried to stop these idiots and got injured. also there was a small girl in the white car? what a way to set a great example fkn tard.
  9. i wouldnt be suprised if the reserve was like $8000. he says market will decide by auction but its not even a dollar reserve. lol.
  10. 1. get in the car and close door 2. put key in ignition turn to 1 then back out 3. hold unlock and press lock 3 times and let go 4. while red light on key is flashing press lock 5. door lock and its all working Got 1 of the keys to work BUT i have another key that doesnt have a led light on it and did the same proceedure and that ones not working, car will beep 3 times after the 3rd step
  11. i dont think theres anyone who buys an e30 thinking they can just buy it and drive it. most if not all of them need some kind of work done one way or another and unless you're spending upwards of 10k for one that someone has already done the work on, i think the op will realise that both of these examples will need a bit (if not a lot) or work doing.
  12. anyone know the correct way to program the central locking key for my car? have two keys both had flat batteries and replaced them and just need to reprogram it cheers

  22. Lesson: dont buy a 4cyl bmw
  23. i think the only way $1 RES auctions get good outcome is if the item for sale is a popular search more people who view it = more potential bidders
  24. i reckon it looks better without a lip as it suits the roundness front side and rear of the car. just imo
